+1 for intergrating Wireguard into Libreelec.
I dont think a gui is really neccessary, there is one for OpenVPN and for most of the custom setup at home it failes (at least this is my experience).
Most people dealing with wireguard should be advanced users which have no problem using SSH.
Just installed 8.2.3.1 on my Tanix TX3 Mini, inkl. the DTB that makes the Display working.
Now i only have on problem. It is possible to boot the Box via the power button on the remote but in Kodi the remote is not working.
Have i missed a step?
Solved it. I had to get a suitable remote.conf from a thread here in the forum. Put it into /storage/.config now the remote works.

I think i will recycle my G3900 + Fujitsu Board as HTPC. Seems that Amlogic + Ambilight is a neverending Story.

Would try it by myself, but i have no "ready-to-use" Amlogic box at hand right now.

Thats what also keeps me wondering. HDR is working on those cheap Chinaboxes with LibreElec but not on PC?

I am also having problems with Hyperion and my Khadas Vim, but a bit different.
In my case i have Ambilight in the Menu etc. and in Movies which are SD and 720p. When it comes to 1080p Ambilight simply does not work.
The LED's wont light up. I have used a working config from my NUC, only changing to the AML Grabber.
The LED Stripes is connected to a Arduino which is connected via USB to the Khadas. But from what i've seeing here Amblight and Amlogic seems to be a bigger problem.
Is it possible to only flash the uboot?
I have a box here ready, only the power on bug is a real pitty.
I would like to flash only the uboot and keep the Libreelec install on the nand intact.

i am using Libreelec in a PXE environment together with a MySQL Database.
Libreelec is booted from an Ubuntu Server via an NFS share. Now OS and Movie/TVShow data is already centralised.
What i want to do now is to centralise the Thumbnail Cache which can be found under /storage/.kodi/userdata/Thumbnails.
Till now every client has its own Thumbnail cache in its home dir on the server, so it needs more space (which is not a main issue) and the clients are mostly not on the same revision.
When i add new Movies to one client, the otherone does not automatically get the new artwork immediately.
Does sombody has a guid how i could mount the Thumbnail Folder from an SMB or NFS Share into Libreelec so all Clients can use the same Thumbnail data?
I have a central MariaDB database and my Clients boot via PXE. Also the storage of the clients (which means also the thumbs cache etc) is on the Server (NFS share), but seperate for each client (overlay).
Now i want to centralise that so all clients use the same Artwork Cache. I have no issues with that, but i may depend on the clients i use. I have two Intel NUC DN2820 connected by a wired GBit Network. Dont know what clients you have. But if youre Clients are rPi's i can imagine that they have a poor performance in that case.
Havent seen that bug for a long time.
Could be related to the Network driver loaded for your card. The r8169 driver was sometimes a bit buggy for me when i used it under unRaid.
What helped in my case was to use the r8168 driver supplied by Realtek and to blacklist the r8169 driver.
I dont know if the r8168 driver is included in Libreelec.
The Artwork already is on the Server, and i did not notice any performance issues.
Spacesaving is not the issue, but so new artwork is instantly available when the first client scraped new media.
Maybe Kodi does not wait for the Network when it starts?
Missing Main Menu items for Movies / TV Shows etc. always happened to me when the central database was not available at the start of Kodi.
Is your QNAP always on or do you wake it via WOL?

I just installed LibreElec on my PXE Server, works like a charme. You can simple use the OpenElec Guide for it.
Only thing i will do now is also centralising the artwork cache for my two clients.
