pass through for dolby digital and dts work fine with "adjust display refresh rate" on, but the HD-audio only passes through if its set to off, or at least the last time i checked it was that way.

have a look here: Guide: Installing Openelec to an Intel NUC | AVForums
i seem to remember i had to change a few things in the bios before i could get the installer to run.

yeah this is a known problem you could try a custom edid but i think the kernel update broke this as it no longer works for me, have a look here: custom_edid [LibreELEC]

i have done a bit of playing around and it seems on all versions past 8.0.2 it does not seem to work very well there is only a very small amount of light output when using the usb grabber. im assuming im having the same issue as this post: Why is USB grabber so dark with libreelec Leia (kodi 18) ? Look at the pics | Hyperion - Forum
i am unable to confirm though as i'm unable to take grabber screenshots when using libreelec.
anyone have any insight??

i left it at the default looks like it was set for 900. even with the internal frame grabber disabled i got nothing.
and i don't think the priority would have an effect if you have stop the service to grab an image. that does not work either btw
edit: it appears to work if i set the priority to a lower number (780) and also set it to NTSC even though in the uk we use pal, but the 'take grabber screenshot' still does not work

all the reference folder are different. Use the hyperConLE to generate the json of the configuration
i did use the hyperConLE, still was not able to take screenshots or make the grabber work

yeah i was asking specifically about the libreelec addon version of hyperion as i cant make it work with my usb grabber
-
Does the hyperion add-on support the use of external grabbers? i have a Fushicai USBTV007 grabber plugged in to my nuc running libreelec 8.2.1 this also has an arduino and the led's connected to that, The kodi grabbing works fine as do the led's but i cant get the usb video grabber to work. In hypercon i can't get the screenshot to work either. as a test i did a install of hyperion on to a raspberry pi running jessie lite and the grabber worked fine on the pi so i know the hardware is functioning. any ideas or suggestions?
if i try to take a screenshot in hypercon i get: No picture found check ssh traffic. Stop Hyperion before you take a screenshot.

I'm on 0041 bios im pretty sure i set both igd and aperture size to 512, and uefi, on the official 8.2.0. pass through only works on dd, and dts so i turned all the other formats off and set the speaker output to 5.1 so i get pcm to my amp on the formats that passthrough is broken for.

or use a cable instead of wifi

i had a lot of problems with my nuc6cayh and trying to use a custom edid using 'getedid' if my avr was either on the wrong hdmi input or powered down when the nuc was booted i had the same black screen that could only be solved by rebooting the nuc. it appears to be a kernel/driver issue according to the Libreelec team.
