password is pure rsync protocol so you probably need an rsyncd running in libreelec. Other option is to use rsync/ssh so you need to enable ssh with pka in libreelec.
Create a private ssh key in Omv (certificates) and add the public key in libreelec for root user as described in the wiki. Then select the key from drop down menu.
Make sure the remote url is correct. Refer to the omv wiki for this. A
Just as suggestions, why don’t you use public keys and a chroot for the users. The keys can easily be revoked if an sdcard is lost.
There is an addon that switches audio device. You can map it to a remote button to toggle the device until the one you want appears. I use to have script for this, but the addon is much better implemented since is cross platform, I had the audio devices hard coded in my script.

That’s not possible. Samsung smarttv doesn’t allow to boot another os.
You can buy a cheap amlogic or rpi device to run libreelec. Also a firetv stick can run kodi from their android os

I have at the moment only 4k samples not full 4k Blu-rays. I can test with my nas it has collectd and telegraf collecting stats.
I think libreelec wouldnt make a difference because the nas is using his nic stats to graph bw.
Correct, but my KODI Box just says 10 MB/s, so why does the NAS tell me up to 500MB/s?
That graph must be wrongly implemented or scaled. Do you know if the os is up to date?
If you're familiar with grafana/influxdb you can try to set up a telegraf daemon to collect stats using snmp in your NAS then use grafana to compare the bandwidth rates against the ones provided by the synology OS
I didn’t test to output the log to the destination disk maybe is getting deleted at the end. Try another location maybe /storage for the log file
Thanks for the suggestion, but no luck. The rsync starts, but there is no log file.
Just came back home and test it and it works. Just correct the path in the --log-file option

Yes, when using systemd mount unit.
Is definitely something with PATH where systemd looks for the mount binary. I just tested by unsquashing SYSTEM and and re-packing it with the binary and the symlink. Now the mount unit works.
I am guessing that the systemd execmount doesn't have the system-tools path. I've tried a script with a service unit file but didn't work (don't know why).
Your best shot right now would be as nickr says and use autostart.sh

Maybe try to add a symlink from mount.mergerfs -> mergerfs
I am not exactly sure at what point /storage is mounted, so since the binary is residing there try to add a dependency to that path so that mergerfs point is mounted after storage is available.
I test and the help menu got displayed and the ldd didn't report any missing shared libraries. Don't have drives to test a full setup.
IMO the binary could be included in libreelec by default, there should also be an addon for this.
