Since the GDPR-2 thread is closed now. I will try asking here. Has anyone tried updating his builds over kszaq builds? Are there any problems with the update or is it seamless? Thanks.

So I bricked my device doing this the first time and now looking for some help.

• What is the proper build to use for the Minix Neo U1?
• Can I install these builds over @kszaq’s older builds or do I have to make a new bootable disc using these ones?
• Can I restore from backups made from @kszaq’s builds or are they not compatable?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have added sams dither and rounding code to the kernel along with a banding issue fix of his as well.

I have also added some experimental code to Kodi to set the round option automatically however I have not tested this to see if it works so if you could try playing a couple of clips and upload your kodi.log I will be able to see if it is being set or not before content is played.

Also of interest to users with displays on their boxes, this build contains an updated vfd driver by The Coolest which reduces the need for a box specific DTB but does require a new config to be placed in /storage/.config/ ... some examples can be found here and extra support is available at his thread here.

I am assuming the same process I used for his build would be the same for youtd? I Just download the .tar file and put into the update folder?

Just wondering if these Alpha builds are more advanced or different then @kszaq's last stable build.

Has anyone tried upgrading to these builds from kzaq's on the Minix Neo U1? Any issues?

Minix U1 was working Ok, setup basic stuff.. exit, shutdown, power backup a few times along the way.

Then ... While configuring and doing some addon-updates switched TV source to another HDMI port to watch something while waiting for updates to complete. When I came back a while later, by switching sorce back to HDMI port with Minix, there was a "no signal" message.
Tried to wake the box up with the power button on the A2 Lite remote by short press and also long press more than once but Minix does not wake.
Tried power button on the Minix box, both short press and long press's, still no wake up.
Only after removing power and re-apply power does the Minix awake and boot up In LibreElec again... good news is the add-on updates seem to have completed.

Up and working again but this could become a very annoying issue for a box that is supposed to be near the top of the list for Libre-Kodi box. I basically only want to use it to watch streamed video from the i-net in 1080HD.

Any thoughts or suggested fix ?

I have the same box as you and all is fine. It might be better to find an answer in the Minix forum because I see postings there of a similar nature. I don't think that it has anything to do with LibreElec.

Yes. Having similar problems. My devices turn on again after they turn off.

Sourced the problem. Just a faulty switching device I had.

It has to have a Amalogic 905 processor to work. I don't think it will work with an 812.
