/or systemd.debug_shell to get a shell with Ctrl-Alt-F3
Does that still work, I thought that was taken out, or disabled somehow.

11MB/s sounds like roughly a 100 Mb/s connection.
So are you running LibreELEC on a Macbook?
What is the external drive attached to?
but you have no idea if it is outputting actual 3D?
Hence the need for testing things on a proper TV that can do 3D ,,, Didn't I mention that already?
Is that PC monitor 3D? It properly plays 3D-MVC?
Nope, all normal. Hence why I (still) need to test on a proper TV.
Also, where did you get v9.2.4? I see this thread:
That's the advantage of being a team member.
I get to test the upcoming update with Kodi 18.8 on board.
It's should come out next week or so.
Your idea of that what a proper bug report is, differs very much from ours.
If you think that developers are searching Youtube 24/7 for this type of video reports, you're very much mistaken.
Update:
Apparently, it doesn't look like Kodi / gbm supports setting plane transformations yet, so that's something that might need to be added in the future.
Not what you hope to hear, but it is what it is for now.
Update:
Good news:
All videos from the 3D samples section of the Kodi Wiki play here on the RPi-4 with 9.2.4 .. when it is connected to a (2560x1440) PC monitor.
Bad news:
Things also need to be tested on the 3D TV naturally, in 33+ dgrs weather.
As far as I know, it's display_rotate=2 without the hdmi part.
Apparently things have changed a bit in the RPi-4, because you will need to disable the dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d entry in the distroconfig.txt file.
However... the boot screen is indeed upside down, but LibreELEC freezes and crashes and reboots after that.
In Raspberry Pi OS it is suggested to make the screen rotate changes via the desktop settings, so something is different for sure.
We know Kodi works in Rasbian, but it stutters, has screen tears, and artifacting even in 1080p. Forget 4k.
Did you also send in bug reports for those Raspbian (now Raspberry Pi OS) problems?
Without each people doing their part, those troubles will not go away anytime soon.
And when will it come? Next days, weks, months ?
This year, for sure.
We're busy testing.
Just tested all sorts of 3D stuff on 9.2.4 Intel Generic (on a J5005 Gemini Lake), and it basically all played fine.
Will connect the RPi4 next, and see how far that goes.
I have no AVR experience, but the default setting for Kodi displaying on TV's for Adjust display refresh rate is Start/Stop.
Also bypass the AVR for now, and see what happens when the RPi is connected directly.
Let's start with some basics, and perhaps bypass the AVR for now so we can establish a base line.
Well, I am currently using MSI 1080 TI and Gaming at 4k without any problem.
Reacting to a forum thread which is already over a year old is not very much recommended.
Technology goes fast, Nvidia support is likely to stop with LibreELEC and a 1080ti is quite an overkill for watching videos.
Hmm... Not sure which type of Linux box you are using, but there is the GParted you can use the doublecheck the partitions on the USB stick. It's possible that the stick somehow got 'bricked' and that the data partition in readonly mode.
I have found those files in the /STORAGE/ volume, but when I try and do anything it says I havn't got permission..
/storage is the data partition. And since there is only 1 user in LibreELEC, namely root, permissions shouldn't be a problem.
