Do you get any IP address at all? If you get IP addresses in the range of 169.254.* then you have a network configuration problem.

Please remove all video piracy stuff from your LibreELEC setup if you want support.
As per our and Kodi's forum rules, no support will given to devices that have any hint of illegal video streaming.

Having the same tearing problem on my Pi 4 running Libreelec 9.2.5
Honestly, I've never seen menu/GUI tearing on a RPi4, but I'm looking at a 2560x1080 screen, so that's not a 4K display.
When exactly does this tearing happen, and at which resolution?
-
I cannot reproduce the problem. I tried a backup with the default directory on a Rpi-4B and it simply started.
How about providing a debug log so we can perhaps see some more detail.

Two things...
- This is an English-only forum, there are online translation tools available (such as Google Translate) if necessary.
- We always prefer the FULL kodi.log, errors can start at any moment in the Kodi process.

ikg install
LibreELEC has no installation package manager. It only supports Kodi add-ons.
And personally.. I wouldn't want to be bothered with email when I'm trying to relax by watching a movie.

I just tested it with a real Monitor and voila I saw the Beelink logo with the keypress information ESC or DEL for entering setup and F7 for bootmenu.
The BIOS keypress-accepting-time was very low (1s).
Whenever that happens I usually wipe the keyboard like a piano, or just lots of keys at random.
Either it's the wrong or the correct key, but sometimes the bios/uefi gets overloaded that it simply stops or slows down.

But I can't get X55 to boot from an USB-stick. I tried several sticks, with no luck.
Is (Intel) FastMode still enabled in the UEFI/BIOS?
Or perhaps the legacy mode needs to be used for booting.
Try creating the LE installer USB stick directly with Rufus.
I don't have a Beelink, but I do have a Asrock J5005.
I've used separate drives, it's makes it easier for me with multi-booting.
Grub is used as boot menu, and it has the LibreELEC via some manual editing in Ubuntu,
-
Can I burn a CD from the LE image?
Nope. We provide a disk image, not and ISO.
You could install the NUC's HDD into another PC and run the installer on that machine.
Do make sure you select the correct target disk...

I've switched to DB managed library, everything went smooth.
A centralized database is meant to be used when more than one Kodi device is present in your household.
If that is not the case, why bother?
If you add local files, they need to be accessed via a network protocol, as the full path to each video will be stored in the Kodi video database. When another Kodi client needs to access it, it'll need to work via the same network connection. Be it via SMB or some other network protocol.

Posting in a 4-your old forum thread is not recommended.

Apparently you haven't learned from the reply I gave over on the Kodi forum.
We do not appreciate your "advertisments/suggestions" when it comes to VPN crap.
Posting in a 2016 thread makes you even more suspicious.
Consider this your first and final warning.

If the HDD has disk errors on it, Linux may have mounted it read-only as a precaution.
What format is the HDD: NTFS, ExFAT, something else?

Go to Settings / System / Audio / GUI Sounds / Play GUI sounds , and select 'Never'.

Two things...
- Connect 1 device to your TV at the time. Who knows when both devices interfere with eachother.
- HDMI gives out a digital signal. Most TVs (even today) have overscan enabled by default. Doublecheck your TV settings.
I think that it must be the cable, thing ism I'm not sure if it expected or not
Why? Do you think the cable is too thin for the TV image, and that you are now have cut edges?

Perhaps the Georgia Tech network is just a bit overly sensitive. Linux files are not very well known to be linked to computer viruses. It's more likely to be another false positive.
AFAIK, there is no issue with the .bin file of the USB-SD Creator tool. But I'll mention it to the team.

VIGICA SMART TV BOX C 70 S .. It runs Android 4.x as far as I know.
Kodi requires at least Android 5.0 to run.

That is a 14-year old machine... And not likely to be compatible anymore with today's hardware/video requirements of LibreELEC or Kodi. :-|
