I got the mdraid-1 setup on a RPi4, but data transfers are a bit disappointing... It could be both USB/SATA cables on the two Crucial BX500 120GB SSDs, but so far I'm not getting above 26-30MB/s using the gigabit connection. And the Flirc case is warming up quite a bit too. So, hmmm... I'll try later to see what 5Ghz wifi does.

You can install whatever you want on your Kodi/LibreELEC setup, but on the forums we do reserve the right to NOT provide support when we feel it's inappropriate in whatever way. You can of course contact the banned TV guide developer(s) directly for support.
-
Why? The same reason as every other add-on which is considered banned: every hint of piracy related to the add-on and/or the repository it comes from, will be problem. I don't know the specifics for the banned TV guide entry, but I guess the other Kodi moderators felt it was necessary to place it on the list of banned add-ons.

Can you please tell me which ones are banned for I am not seeing them listed in the official listing in Kodi's wiki?

Here is a listing for reference: Official:Forum rules/Banned add-ons - Official Kodi Wiki

I might try that 2nd solution myself. It seems doable, even for me
My Rpi4 is happy with a TP-Link Repeater/Accesspoint and does upto 40MB/s transfers through a single concrete wall with a 5Ghz connect. Still, as a NAS, I would go for the gigabit option.
Rsync is in the system tools add-on somewhere I think. Just browse through LE's repository. LibreELEC has Samba onboard by default, NFS not so much. You could install Docker and do a NFS server setup, but again, the RPi4 is preferred because of better support. There is no proper LE10 for RPi3 available yet, personally I have doubts it will ever get there.

I wanted to do this with a mirror RAID
...
a suggestion on how to achieve my goal without reinstalling the OS and keeping libreelec, I am all ears
LibreELEC does not support RAID setups, period. Also, an RPi3 with wifi would not my weapon of choice for a server setup. A RPi4 with proper gigabit connections has my preference. RAID using a RPi4 device is not impossible, but your wallet will be somewhat challenged.

Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link -
That depends on the size of your media collection. A SDcard of 2GB is an absolute minimum, as Kodi's thumbnail cache will use up the majority of disk space. With an average media collection, 4GB would still be a tight squeeze. And on the other hand, prices of 8GB SDcards aren't that shockingly high anymore.

Make sure the "Wait for network" option is enabled before a reboot.
Which add-ons are you referring to?
-
My advice: installing LE on the internal storage (if even possible on the Wetek Core) can go wrong. If LibreELEC runs fine via the SDcard, simply leave it there. Things won't go much faster when things work from the internal eMMC.

I once used a 15m HDMI cable between a HTPC (not RPi) and my TV in the other room. But.. this was only a 1080p signal. I can imagine that a 4K/60 signal is a bit trickier, however a good quality cable should be able to provide a decent picture.
Storage devices have no bearing on the output signal afaik. Otherwise, test a bootable USB stick with LibreELEC.

how do I preserve the database, the movie/episode status and such ?
- Make one or more backup copies of your video database file.
In case of using MySQL/MariaDB, do a regular mysqldump export of the video database. Don't forget to enable the creation of the table schemas. - Enable the watched status and resume settings in Kodi's advancedsettings.xml file
- Do a regular video library export into separate files, where nfo files are created next to the videos with the current scraped video content as well as their watched statuses / resume points.
- Make one or more backup copies of your video database file.

Always nice to see people solving their own Kodi problems. Did you change your password at all on the "server" end? Otherwise it's weird and would have been nice to know what difference the password.xml file now makes with the previous version.
-
Both will do. It's the 1GB version that can mess up the 4K experience. I bought two of the 4GB from the start, because well, I'm a nerd. Probably would have gotten the 8GB version if they had offered it from the start, and use it as a "big" server.
I don't think the 2 vs 4 GB version will have much of an impact when using LibreELEC.
You can simply swap the SDcards (or bootable USB devices) and see.

Well could you tell me to how to make the debug log please?
