Auto update is disabled because this version contains the LE kernel which contains a different partition layout, if you are installed on internal you will not be able to update and a fresh install will be required.
so if I'm running @kszak's LibreELEC 8.2 build installed into internal how do I update to yours?
Thanks very much. I’ll try it later.
Hi
Gonna order a new android box for libreelec usage, and retire my old s905 to the bedroom.
Before I install librelec is it possible to 'backup' android so I can revert to it if I ever wanted to?
Thanks
Matt
do these builds auto update?
Matt
Thanks for the heads up, didn't realise.
Matt
hi guys,
wanting to upgrade my box so I can watch HDR content.
Was looking at this one...
Mecool KI Pro box.
Am I right in thinking this supports...
a, kszaq's builds of libreelec
b, Gigabit lan
c, 4K and HDR
Thanks
Matt
Should also note it doesn't do it on my Mac, pi or iMac upstairs and the tv box is connected via gigabit lan.
Matt
Hi
Had this problem a while now, using kszaq's build, 8.2.0.1 temp sensor disabled version at the moment.
Playback is flawless normally but sometimes when I fast forward a tv show that is recorded I get below stuttering.
The only was to fix it is to restart the box.
Audio carries on behind it as normal, even stopping the video and restarting results in the same. it didn't happen this time in the video but normally even if I stopped the video and go and start a movie, the same stuttering happens. with the movies audio in the background.
Im using TVheadend version 4.2 on a linux server, ive tried wiping the box and starting again and even removed tvheadend and starting from scratch with that again.
Ive attached the video below to show what I mean.
Any ideas?
Matt
if I can't ask this on here feel free to delete it.
with {some bs addon}*edit gone what are other people using for IPTV addons on Kodi?
Thanks
Matt
So you are Matt Wang, are you?
huh?
In ubuntu, to build use:
Codesudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade sudo apt install gcc make git gcc-multilib lib32stdc++6 sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash (select no, to install bash as the default) git clone -b no-ES https://github.com/shantigilbert/LibreELEC.tv Sx05RE cd Sx05RE make image PROJECT=S905 ARCH=arm DISTRO=Sx05RE
or if you can wait a bit more I can build it for you, it takes a few hours tho.
Thanks very much, ill try in a sec, playing around with retroarch on @kszaq's build atm.
Check [LibreELEC] Run RetroArch on your S905/S905X device! - FreakTab.com
It works for me with both xbox360 wired and Xiaomi Bluetooth controllers.
Code:
hi bud, installed and running ok. I can launch a game by browsing to the rom file but when I click on scan directory it won't add any files to the collection, hence adding them to the main menu.
Any ideas?
Matt
Is there anyway to install retroarch onto these builds?
Matt
I made another version without ES but I have no release for that one, you would have to compile it.}
GitHub - shantigilbert/LibreELEC.tv at no-ES
No standalone versions of Reicast, Advancemame or PPSSPP included tho.
cool, is there a guide to building the image?
or is there a way to 'install' retroarch on the normal builds?
Matt
is the any way to run lakka directly from your build? I prefer to use lakka over emulationstation and would rather have a shortcut straight to that?
Matt
see this comment:
brilliant, that sorted it. Thanks
Now just to sort out the random crash when Kodi is downloading channels from tvheadend on startup.
@kszaq's builds used to do it but have stopped doing it lately.
