under compiling there should be a dash between xz and utils

Install basic dependencies

sudo apt install gcc make git unzip wget xz-utils

a simple login commad should also help

check the settings file under /storage/.cache/connman/<servicename>
there should be some of the following entries...
the servicename could be seen by using:
connmanctl services
