After about 30 mins of perfect image playback, on-screen faces will turn greyish/greenish and Horizontal Red tearing lines start appearing.
Pressing Stop and Playing the same FTA TV stream again immediately fixes it for about 30mins.
same device same problem with 1080i live tv channels.
Did not install 8.2.4.1 image yet, but all versions of libreelec I have tested had the same problem.
AS workaround I use Android apps on this device.
Its not a heating problem - I use active cooling.
Still having 8.2.3.1 on my Mecool KI pro main device (AML 905D Chip; gxl_p230_k1_pro.dtb).
It would be nice to have a 8.2.4.1 Version for it because of the audio improvements based on OSMC.

Installed test release from #2486 on my Mecool KI pro. This time with tvheadend 4.2 and dtb from test release.
Took a while but it is much more stable now. EPG is ok, also. All my addons working so far.
Did not test dolby and dts 5.1 yet.
This device (added active cooling) makes more fun atm than my wetek play 2.

couldn´t get both devices in stable conditions with dvbviewer client.
It simply stops randomly working saying channel can not be shown.
Looks like there are network problems. Same channels running without issues on other devices or with last official libreelec Version.
Tried with tvheadend 4.3 on KI pro then.
Worked but issues with EPG ( very slow or not there ).
After Restart this morning TVheadend Server not starting anymore.
Also some problems with downloading addons like mono.
On wetek play 2 installed Raybuntus last Version for now
On Mecool KI pro I will try again.
Is there a link to 8.90.3 somewhere because as reported as "running fine" ?

I like and use the librespot addon often.
Recently I changed the libreelec Version on my M8spro+ Android box and installed 8.90.4 (9.0).
The librespot Version from Libreelec repo is 9.0.1.109
But this Version does not work anymore. It is seen as available device if I start Spotify on my handy. It tries to connect for some seconds but doesn´t.
In kodi.log it says that it can not load value="hdmi:CARD=AMLM8AUDIO,DEV=0"

a working Combi Wifi/bluetooth dongle would be nice because most of the tv boxes have only 2 USB slots .

do you mean something like this : GitHub - tianon/linux-rtlwifi-8188ce: A mirror of the "official" Realtek kernel module for the 8188CE (and others) - note that this driver is really no better or worse than the one directly in-kernel, since the driver can't fix horrid hardware. This also probably doesn't compile properly on newer kernels.

My hope was that sticks with RTL8188 chips would work out of the box..

I have just bought a combi Wifi/Bluetooth stick : Called Edimax EW-7611ULB
It has a Realtek 8188ce chip.
But it is not recognized from libreelec. Neither Wifi nor bluetooth
Can I add drivers for it ?
As already said there is no Wifi driver for the Mecool m8s pro+

Have a Digibit R1 with Satip Software from Perexg and DVB Recording Service plus standalone Boxes with TvHeadend
Its running fine, no issues with libreelec and Full HD liveTv Channels. Only the new Mecool M8s pro L has this problem.
And the strange thing is, even without active cooling the device is doing fine if I use Android and Kodi.
Don´t think its a hardware fault, because it should have the failure always.
I tested for days now, with different libreelec versions and different TV Screens, different settings, different Live TV Service..
I assume a bug in the GPU driver or dtb.img. As I said I went back to android for now with this device.
I am a retiered IT professional. Its driving me nuts if I can´t find the bug.. But 3 days/nights for a China box are enough..
The challenge is to take a cheap China Box, delete the crap, flashing a Custom ROM and having a lot of fun with it.
Old Notebooks have to much power consumption, NUC is way too expensive.
I do not understand why there are no proper GPU drivers for S912 chips.
May be economic interests and piracy themes have influence (thinking of Minix with S912 boxes and OSMC boxes, they won´t sell their stuff anymore if it will run on a 35 euro device) But thats complete off topic..
