    Hi ,

does anybody know if its possible to boot libreelec from ssd on a 905x.
image has been written on a ssd with libreelec sd/usb creator.
but after boot it or starts in android or while holding the reset button it ends up in the recovery menu without showing libreelec boot .
have been reading posts from the raspberry pi where was given that possibly the drive starts up to slow .

If so would there be an option to boot from sd and use data from ssd.

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

I had to try a MicroSD card and 3 USB drives to find one that works with my box.

Could you tell me how you did this?

System settings -> Input -> Peripherals -> CEC Adapter -> When TV is switched off to Ignore
    [hr]

WinSCP is also a great SFTP (FTP over SSH) client.

I solved this by disabling CEC sleeping, the box runs 24/7.

There's something weird going on with my A95X box with this latest update!
It goes to sleep even though the power saving is turned off, then when you switch it back on, the blue LED comes on but the unit is 'dead', no response to ping or any HDMI output. I need to pull the power and plug it back in!?
Also does anyone use 'docker'? Not working....
    Thanks!

If you use CEC it is defaulted to
sleep the box when TV is switched off.

2GB is the recommended minimum if you asked me. Some bootloaders have issues with detecting all types of cards / USB drivers, you have to find one that works for you.

I guess my bootloader is extremely picky.

Anyways this 64GB Kingston seems to work very well. Fast boot, fast GUI responce, much faster video playback and response. CEC works very well.

Lets hope it's much more stable than with Android, I had frequent freezes that caused to fail communication to my amplifier for all sources.

Thank you for the help and for the hard work in general.

It looks like the USB drive fails to initialize early on boot. Please try running LE from SD card and see if your USB drive can be seen in LE.

    YES!

    The USB-drive was to blame.

I tested a different USB-drive and it booted just fine with gxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb.
    Working USB-drive: Kingston 64GB DTSE9H, USB 2.0

BTW, I also tested a 4GB USB 2.0 Kingston DataTraveler, but it seemed to stuck on S905 logo, same thing with a 2GB Kingston MicroSD card.
Are those too small to work with LibreElec?

Resizing storage takes forever with this 64GB stick.

I'm having issues trying to boot from USB-drive:

    Error:

    Hi,

I tried googling around a little bit, but can't find a solution for my problem.

I want to setup Kodi so it automatically opens a HTTP-stream.

I found how to do that by making a "autoexec.py"-file.

While this should work, I need a backup method.

If the HTTP-stream does not output video, switch to alternative stream.

Wonder why I want to do this?

I have a streaming box that can input HDMI or CVBS, both will be used depending on the situation, so when HDMI is not in use I would like Kodi to automatically switch to the alternate CVBS HTTP-stream.
I need Kodi to be standalone, no interaction required from the user.
