Sorry, only just got back to this today, I saw in one of the change logs that the intel_media driver package had been updated recently. So instead of testing different older ones I went straight to nightly 20260612 and all is working fine so far.

I ran the tests tonight, they both had the same result, loading up firefox in 1080P has issues. I will try some more previous versions another day. I will start at 20260504
Display MoreCan you please test with the 20260511 and 20260512 nightlies and report back if resolution switching works with those?
https://test.libreelec.tv/13.0/Generic/G…-f6935c9.img.gz
https://test.libreelec.tv/13.0/Generic/G…-e916680.img.gzI have a gut feeling that the issue might be caused by the Intel hack-patch that was added in the 20260512 nightly.
If you get the garbled screen in both nightlies please test with earlier nightlies between 20260504 and 20260511 and post the first version where the issue occurs.
so long,

I have logs,
So today I noticed when I have the browser open with the resolution in Flatpak set to 1080P and screen is garbled, moving mouse to top right hand corner to close, kodi was restarting up garbled as well, but if I unplug and re-plug of the HDMI lead gives me the correct image at 1080P60.
kodi.log.old as after boot and display is ok.
kodi.log is after firefox has closed and screen is garbled
When I open the browser if I pull the HDMI and plug back in the display comes right but at 4k resolution.

I did some testing, I am using a MeLE Quieter 4C N100, latest BIOS. It does not have an LSPCON chip inside, /sys/class/drm shows HDMI connectors and dmesg doe not list the device.
I have found this issue only happens when plugged into the AVR, directly into the TV it works OK.
One thing that is interesting is the TV is reporting the signal is 1080P@62 htz when the screen image is garbled. I also tried getedid create in case of it being a edid issue but no luck.
I installed version 20260505, I am able to change resolution of Kodi with this version without problems but cannot test a flatpak app as its not available.
I will re-install the newest version again and see what logs I can get

Hi, I love the direction LE is taking and I have been hoping for this for a long time. I am currently running this on an AMD box and so far no issues. I thought I would swap to a small N100 NUC and it mostly works. The N100 seems to have an issue changing resolution. Its connected to an AVR -> TV and after install it boots into 4K resolution. I can play all my media no issue. I also love being able to use a web browser (firefox) for netflix and prime content. This works fine to.
This is until I try and drop Kodi resolution to 1080P then the screen turns to static, I leave it to auto return to 4k and the picture returns. Also I dont really want the web browser in 4k either so dropping that to 1080P has the same result, screen is static. I just use the mouse to top right and corner and click which hopefully shuts the browser down and if I get it right Kodi will once again reappear in 4k.
Is this a me only issue?
-
The other reason is Amazon/Netflix addons that stop working after a while. Even just being able to web browse on the TV is a big plus. ATM I am running a desktop with flatpak Kodi just to have a browser but that has other issues, Audio is never reliable ( outputs change etc) Bluray plackback is completely broken. LibreElec is the only way to play media reliably.

Where do I download the previous version? I cannot find it any where. I updated my AMD system from 10.0.2 which worked fine to 10.0.3 and all I get is a splash screen so need to downgrade.
edit : Its OK I changed in the download link the 3 to a 2

Any ideas on whats happening here?

Hi,
Just installed 9.95.4 x86_64 on my AMD system.
After the first boot and start-up sequence I installed the following addons :-
TVHeadend 4.2
LCDProc
XBMC LCDProc
Chrome
TVHeadend PVR Client
DVB-T Hardware is the old sony PlayTV usb
Everything works perfectly the first boot. I can setup TVHeadend, tune the channels and watch TV until either a reboot or power cycle, then I get kernel errors and the DVB tuners are gone and unable to get them back and end up reverting to 9.2.6. I had this same behavior with 9.95.3 as well.

Hi, Installed LE10 beta 3 with TVH 4.2 on my AMD PC. Installed fine and setup channels etc. Left a channel on for about 5 hours . Stopped it and turned off the TV. I have a HDMi CDC adapter which I forgot to change settings so when I turned off the TV it tried to shut down the PC. Thats where things went bad. I use the old PlayStation 3 USB dual tuner. The tuner would not work (no device listed in TVHeadend) and there were kernel messages on startup. I fully powered down the PC and disconnected the mains for while. Still no go, I thought the Tuner had fried, installed 9.2.6 all is OK again.
Just reporting my experience. I will reinstall LE10 again and disable the CDC power off and see if it is ok this time.
-
Awesome thanks I will give it a go
-
Didn't even know it existes for LibreElec..always tought that it was a windows only thinghy..
I did see on their website that linux was supported. I haven't got a spare box to try it out on at the moment, I wont want to potentially break my working setup haha. Be awesome if it was available via the repositories.
- Just had another read through the website and I dont see any source code so I think its closed source
-
Have you tried nextpvr? not sure if it's any good or not but it seems to be actively supported. Maybe somebody here knows if it's any good or not.
Took a look and it is interesting
-
Wow awesome as soon as its live I will updating thats all I am waiting for Thanks to everyone involved!
Just a quick question, on compiling the app is it possible to turn off chrome auto update checking it gets annoying and I dont see anywhere to disable it on the preferences
-
this is fixed as soon kodi has the build in browser

early early proof of concept exist for 4years or so - but sadly very unfinished
Oh wow I did not know such a thing was even on the table that would be awesome sad it was never finished
-
Still dont understand why anyone would want to try something else that is not user friendly, may not work, cause crashes, or whatever.
OK, i understand that TVheadend development may be slow at this time, BUT, its a proven workhorse! It just gets the job done, does the job right and never complains (aka no major bugs, and TVH 4.2 with LE 9.x its stable, never causes system freeze/crash) It just does everything that anyone would expect it to do. What more would you need it to do? A honest curiosity lol

I was just asking the question because if TVheadend development has stopped then at some point we will have to migrate to something. I think all the backends are complicated when it comes to configuring them. If you have never seen tvheadend before and was asked to set it up it would take a long time to figure it all out. Anyway like I said I was just throwing the question out their as at the moment TVHeadend appears to be a dead project.
-
What about the mythTV backend? It does seem to be under active development still
-
I did wonder if that was the case, is a shame as having a functioning browser really is useful and as mentioned all the netflix and amazon addons are not reliable. But I can definitely see the advantages of rendering directly without a windowing system.
