Thanks for everyone's answers!
So I guess the only alternative is nVidia Shield or Windows as a HTPC for 10-bit HEVC Support?

Hello Everyone,
I was very disappointed to find out that nVidia Graphics Cards do not support 10-bit HW Acceleration on Linux (and consequently on LibreELEC as well) due to company policy.
Consequently, I'm thinking of switching to an AMD Graphics Card.
Do AMD GPUs support 10-bit H.265/H.264 HW Acceleration on LibreELEC?
If so, is a Radeon RX 550 with 2 GB RAM enough?
Also, If so, how can I configure this? (Are special settings in xorg.conf necessary?)
Greetings and many thanks in advance!

Hey there, CvH!
Thanks for your help so far!
Would it be possible for your to create a new image with LibreELEC (Krypton) v8.0.2 MR including the DigitalDevices drivers?
That would be great!
Thanks a lot!
Greetings,
OnbekendHH
Guys, I think I fixed it...
it was my CustomEDID, which was from my old setup... (just recently switched to SONY A1).
I have it now commented it out.
Now it's perfect! (Hope it stays that way).
Greetings and thanks!

The problem is this is not just cosmetics...
In some situations, TV switches to HDMI 1 when KODI switches back and forth, say between resolutions.
Hey Irusak... thanks for your response.
LibreELEC / Kodi is connected via HDMI-1 indeed... but I am referring to the Input List of the SONY A1: when I open the list, it reports the AVR and two UHD-Players connected via HDMI 3, which is correct, since both UHD-Players are connected via the AVR. However, additionally, KODI is reported being connected to HDMI1, which is wrong, since LibreELEC/KODI is also connected via the AVR.
Hey guys!
My LibreELEC (HTPC with PluseEight CEC Adapter) is connected via an AVR to HDMI 3 of the TV (Sony Android TV (A1)), however, it seems to be reporting that it is connected to HDMI 1 on the TV, not via HDMI 3 of the TV.
Where and how can I correct this so that LibreELEC reports being connected to HDMI3 on the TV via the AVR?
Thanks for your help.

Dear Developers:
Thanks a lot for your ongoing efforts to providing a magnificent MediaCenter.
I would have a BIG suggestion: I stumbled upon the following plugin for a setup box of a German manufacturer and it completely blew me away, since this exactly represents what I would wish for in LibreELEC:
Autoresolution – Vu+ WIKI
It allows a very precise control of how scaling and resolution switching is handled depending on the content.
If possible, I would include the option of switching Color-Encoding (4:4:4, 4:2:2, RGB, 4:2:0), Bit-Depth and whether it's Video from a TV-Card or from a Video-File.
I know this is big, but it would be awesome!

Hello Everyone,
Does LibreELEC by default load completely to RAM?
Is it possible to instruct LibreELEC to load the entire OS to RAM and keep it there without offloading to HardDisk?
I have 4 GB RAM which should be enough to fully load the OS to RAM and keep it there.
Greetings,
OnbekendHH
CvH... you're the best! Thanks man!
Hey there CvH and LE-Team!
Congratulations on your new Update LE 8.0.1!
Can't wait for the next Release with Digital Devices drivers!
Greetings.
Can't wait! Thanks!
depends, completely new ~4h (at a not slow pc), just a small rebuild 3-4min (like quickly add a new driver or something)
DD V7 image
Generic 7.95.1 DD official drivers for 6/7
Works fantastic! (I now have a Digital Devices Cine C2/T2 V7)
CvH... many thanks for your great help, effort and dedication!
Just to be curious: how long does it take to compile a LibreELEC release?
Ooops... sorry, man... really sorry... hadn't seen that you posted a new image... I tried this one, and I now can see the TV cards in tvheadend!
Many thanks!
Hey there CvH:
I don't mean to bug, but my Digital Devices DVBCT V6.1 DVB adapter is still not being shown. What could be the reason?
Thanks for your help!
Greetings,
Onbekend
Yeah, I was wondering the same... Installed the LibreELEC Beta, but my Digital Devices TV Card is not "there"... (TVHeadend). It'd be great to include the drivers.
