Apart from the minor (known) overscan on the left edge, there is no difference whatsoever. NADA!
Same camera, same TV. Same camera settings (apart from the human factor), same TV settings.
Both are fresh installs.

(The minor difference in the purple vertical lines comes from the camera autofocus. There is no visible difference.)

I always leave contrast/color/brightness etc. untouched on source devices.
There might be a difference if those values are changed. But why change them?

Please take comparison pictures to support this claim.

first of all, in mm kernel black levels are too dark, dark screen's scenes are also too dark. When I play movie then first step I take is that I adjust brightness and contrast despite of dark scenes and black levels are too dark in movies in mm kernel. NOUGAT KERNAL IS GREAT AND BEST FOR VIEWING MOVIE EXPERIENCE AND ALSO ENHENCE COLORS, BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST...

I agree with Garcia,,,nougat kernel is best because of beautiful picture quality and enhance colours plus brightness. I will definitely go-to with nougat kernel..MM kernel does not work for me because of low brghtness and contrast level...mm kernel is useless...I love to use nougat kernel..

nougat kernel based librreelec is best in picture quality...but latest mm kernel based libreelec is best picture quality?what is difference between nougat based and mm based kernal libreelec?

Volume + = Page Up (figured volume control inside Kodi was pointless since there is programmable volume controls for TV/AVR on the remote).
Volume - = Page Down
World = I (Info)
Backspace = O (Codec Info, having a 2nd backspace key is kinda redundant)

I also observe stutter/lags when subtitles displays in libreelec 8.01 (b. c , d).. just like  envagyok observe in his thread named 'Stuttering movies with subtitles with LE8' .check envagyok logs..when stutter observed...

The best way to explain the quality issue is a "masking" over semi static scenes. The effect looks like too much "photoshop smoothing" has been applied to peoples faces.

Its very subtle so you dont see it all the time, however disabling hardware acceleration seems to improve it.

Yes I have noticed that because I have owner of nexbox a95x this is only in libreelec 8.0 build only because of amlogic decoder bug...if u use spmc and enable amcodec acceleration in spmc.u will.also notice that this video masking.

Same issue for me, using NEXBOX A95X S905X 1G 8G - when I updated to 7.0.3.012e I lost wifi, have to toggle it off/on after a reboot to enable.I M GOING BACK TO OLD BUILD....
