Now available T230A, look like work with V4L DVB drivers
The issue I am having is that the instructions don't work when trying to do the same for Raspberry Pi OS (32 bit). I was trying this because I couldn't get the device working with LibreElec despite trying all 3 options for DVB drivers (standard, latest and crazycat).
The instructions also do not work for Ubuntu 32 bit derivatives.
media_build contain some pre-compiled frontend drivers for x86_64 only (cxd2858 for T232 - Sony CXD2858 DVB-T2/T tuner + demodulator), so this not compatible with any arm or x86 32-bit
Added also to my repo, some changed because T220,220A support also moved to dvb-usb-dvbsky

Why wrong ? 6.0b13 latest firmware patch for Si2168-D60 extracted from some STB drivers.
what is proper firmware ?:) windows driver load dummy firmware patch (initial chip firmware 6.0.1).
this device not supported in open-source tbs drivers
I just got an response from the seller with this link: media_build_u18.04.2_ker4.18_lib_201030.tar with his small note, download and install it.
I not found any support for USB\VID_0572&PID_689A
dvb-usb\cxusb contain support for some new geniatech products:
USB\VID_0572&PID_C68A - T230C V2 (Si2141+Si2168D60)
USB\VID_1F4D&PID_A681 - ATSC/CQAM USB Stick (mxl603+mn88436)
USB\VID_0572&PID_A682 - ATSC/CQAM Dual USB Stick (mxl692)
USB\VID_0572&PID_2886 - T232 DVB-T/T2/C Dual USB Stick (cxd2858)
USB\VID_1F4D&PID_692F - ATSC/CQAM USB Stick (mxl692)
si2183, cxd2858, mxl692, rs6000 frontend drivers without full sources,just precompile x86_64 libs.
What is the consensus is there a solution using libreelec or do I need to move to Unbuntu?
Try ubuntu and latest media_build (or my media_build). Both have support from Brad Love in dvb-usb-dvbsky module
I don't know, this driver now in main-line V4L DVB drivers.
Don't worry about legacy signal strength/quality in %. Usual this calculated in different way depend from developers
Ask LE developers, need compile latest media drivers fro my media_build
And there is no plans to update it ?
Any cheap usb receiver recommended for best results in Linux ?
this old driver which use ds3k frontend driver.
i recommend LTS kernels 4.4 - 5.4
so dvb adapter present in tvh gui, but not lock any channels ?
show kernel log after reboot (dmesg)
remove old media modules before install (see install.sh script)
