What is the best way to update SD card install from 7.0.3.009 -> 7.0.3.011 and save settings, add-ons etc?
Exactly the way it reads in the OP. #1

I bought a new box (a T95m with s905x chipset, 2GB RAM) with built-in Bluetooth hoping I would be able to use it with LibreELEC but unfortunately LibreELEC reports that no Bluetooth adapter is found.Would it be possible to get the internal Bluetooth working with LibreELEC somehow? Like by compiling drivers or something.
I can get Bluetooth working with an external USB dongle btw that I also used on my RPi2.

Read how to get the details of your wifi chip details.
Then you can reply the details as there are chips with no bluetooth working due to missing driver support.
My Qualcomm chip is one of them and kszaq is aware.
ahh yes that did the trick. I will say the third kernel test is for sure easier to boot when it hangs.
I'm still stock .011 I'm waiting to test further.
The boot issue is with Krypton Development as well.
how do I revert the change to allow booting from SD/USB? Disabling USB made no difference other than it booting quicker which is expected, but i would like to keep the USB booting.
I just toothpicked Dev LE 19th November SD Card #178 and it booted to this version. Same thing will happen for you.
I have just inserted USB Stick using 19th November build sd card and i cannot freeze the box.
No way to freeze it.
The static pops are there but i also noticed the CPU Temperature was not working with 19th November.
I hope the fix to CPU Temperature after the 19th didn't cause this Freeze to the S905. #440
Wild guess as i am now trying to blame anything.

Hi to alldo i still need a dtb. file like "gxbb_p200_2g_1gbit" or "dtb2_16.img" for my QBox 2/16 with Superceleron Rom to install it with TWRP to Internal.Without i had only Blackscreen , and why renaming to .img if the File self is still .dtb.
I used latest "aarch64" Build of Version LE/011.
The LE.zip files are all zipped twice , so i must unzip it once and put the renamed "dtb.img.dtb" file into the still zipped "-update" Folder . Is this correct . After that i can use it for install ??? ,or must "-update"be unzipped and rezipped with "dtd.img.dtb" File for installation ???Until now i tried it with and without .dtb with LE 011 & 09 but only Blackscreen , no Boot from USB or SD.
32 bit too.LE 011 Version was from the 19th.have a nice Day

From what i can understand you have jumped straight to trying internal installation.
From the steps you have tried, I have no idea where your instructions came from.
Any reason you ignored opening page

Can someone with an S905 Chip Box (NOT AN S905x Chip)
using this build insert a USB stick into their box and perform some on off reboots . As many as possible as i am looking whether a Boot Freeze occurs at random. #216

I have just discovered that depending on your box you will get different results with freezing. This is because of different u-boot and how it handles booting.
I discovered this because today i UPDATED my Krypton Version 32bit to the 23rd December and rebooted the box 20 consecutive times without fail.
I then inserted a USB Stick into side port and the box froze.
I cold booted it and it successfully booted.
I then rebooted and it froze again.
I then executed [fw_setenv upgrade_step 1] over SSH and rebooted - to make all u-boot variables go back to default values and thus disable SD and USB booting.
I repeated the reboots with the USB Stick inserted and got repeated random freezes.
After the last Freeze with USB inserted.
I took out the USB Stick and it froze.
I cold Booted and successfully Booted Up.
I have now performed over 30 reboots without the USB inserted and not 1 Freeze.
This is not the same behaviour with my MiniM8sPro S905 2gb/8gb #186
This also explains why JonSnow gets different results with the MiniMxiii #179
EDIT: I inserted the USB Stick and ReBooted which froze the box.
Since i did that the second time the MiniMx 1gb/8gb box is displaying the same results as my MiniM8sPro
This bug is Definitely related to USB causing Booting issues.
After the 19th November Dev Build, all versions have a U-Boot conflict relating to Bootup depending on your box.
I hope this narrows it down and we close in on this little parasite bug.
USB booting is not handled by kernel, it is handled by u-boot and only after SD card with LE is not detected. That said you may be right that is has some influence on how kernel driver works. Can you please do the following: execute fw_setenv upgrade_step 1 over SSH and reboot - this will make all u-boot variables go back to default values and thus disable SD and USB booting.
Issued command and rebooted. The command worked because i inserted my SD Card with bootable LE on it and it was ignored after this command was issued. It worked prior to the command.
Well i just spent 45 minutes trying the reboot / on off procedure and the results for me are unchanged
Except for faster boot up when it does boot up.
By that i mean the Boot Animation is barely on screen for even 1 second.
The random Freezing on Boot Animation is present with or without USB Stick installed.
Less frequent with no USB Installed but that is inconclusive as the freezes are random.
I had 6 Freezes with USB Installed out of 25 Bootups.
About 4 Freezes out of roughly the same Bootups without USB Installed
This is now becoming the Mother of all Bugs.
I created a fresh SD card and flashed 011 to internal, tried stock 011 kernel, test1 and test2 but was unable to get my Beelink MiniMXIII to reboot 10 times in a row. The only way it booted 10 times in a row was when I removed the SD Card and unplugged my remote. So with my test it seems like the boot issue is caused by the usb ports or SD card, @Kaszq could you build a kernel that disables booting from USB? I really think it maybe the USB ports coz as soon as i unplug my remote it boots. Yes I've tried different remotes and the results are the same, the stock remote stopped working but I haven't tested it since 008 since I don't use it anyways.
@ kostaman maybe you can try unplugging everything from the box except hdmi/lan and reboot using the stock remote or via ssh?

I think JonSnow may have nailed it. I have slightly different results but definitely the USB Boot in the kernel is having a negative effect in my booting.
I fired up my box and it booted no problem with no USB or USB Air mouse receiver attached.
I re booted and powered off the box at least 20 times without a freeze.
I then inserted a USB Stick in the side USB port of my box (next to the sd card slot) not the back one.
I rebooted the box and got 5 freezes in a row.
I then removed the USB Stick and cold powered back on with success.
Rebooted 4 times no issue.
I then inserted the USB Stick in the BACK PORT. and rebooted with no issue.
Did this 4 times with no issue.
I re inserted the USB Stick back into the side Port and it booted up successfully. That threw me.
I rebooted another 4 times and it successfully booted until the 5th time it froze.
I cold booted and it successfully booted.
Powered off and it rebooted.
My observation whilst the USB Stick is inserted is that when it does boot,
The boot animation is shown for a good 8 to 10 seconds.
Without the USB Stick inserted the boot animation only stays for 3 seconds.
I would like to disable USB BootUp option with this build and see what happens.

update: sorry bud but this doesnt work, box rebooted 4 times before hanging, only hdmi and power plugged in 7.0.3.011 installed to nand on my mini mx s905 1gb/8gb realtek wifi box.
Can you please try the non realtek device tree. I am not 100% sure about your box but i never used that realtek device tree on my MiniMx 1gb/8gbgxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb

Edit Update : USB Inserted reboot and got this after LE Splash Screen. Kernel Panic.
Cold boot and successfully booted after this.
please kindly upload the dev build of 19th November

Thank you for testing the first kernel revert. Fortunately there are only 2 kernel patches between 7.0.3.010/011 and 19 November build. Here's second kernel to test for users who have booting issues. How to use:
- Install 7.0.3.011.
- Make the box boot.
- Choose kernel URL:
- 32-bit: kernel.img
- 64-bit: kernel.img
- Login over SSH and exectute:
- SD card:
- Internal:
- Reboot, report.
- For SD card you can alternatively put the card to your computer and download kernel.img directly there, replacing 7.0.3.011 kernel.
[hr]This is VERY odd as this version uses basically the same kernel as 7.0.3.011 and that's the only thing that can fail on boot - by fail I mean stuck on vendor logo before LE splash screen.
Again i can tell you 19th November is the 100% no freezes. The 12th December Dev version is not 100% see my link #145
I can tell you vzone will eventually get a freeze.

This static popping is the same as when going from playing movie back to kodi menu after stopping the movie?Happens even after disabling menu sounds.
It never happens during playback. It happens when movie is stopped. Also when sitting idle.
Disabling Audio i cannot recall.
btw - what sense it make to develop 64bit version? The boxes have typically 1-2GB of RAM...4GB max - that's OK for 32bit kernel which can address max 4GB RAM...or I am wrong?
You're right.
kszaq has replied somewhere in a thread ,with the information that 64bit userspace development will progress using Jarvis and Krypton will be 32bit userspace
Thank you. And you say that this version boots all the time?
Never fails.
It has the static popping. You know i take notes.
I have the retail s905 version, not the x. What is the problem with my message (It wasn't question)? If its not working, then its not working, end... I can't say its working fine, if its not...
Mate if you took some time to read through the posts you would have picked up that the S905 Chip is the one having the Boot up Freeze at random.
So members like myself who try and help members like you, cannot guess your chip by you just naming it by the Chinese model.
Now that you have disclosed your chip as an S905 , I can help you by saying it is a known issue with the chip.
Look at zed85 who used a Chinese Brand name below. Same confusion. I had to ask so many precise questions on his box before determining the correct device.
So that is the problem with your question.
have a Beelink with S905 chip. (bought from
And I am running LE from Internal Memory.
So it will give me no problems if I put the 7.0.3.011 img.gz with device tree:
http://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/7.0.3.011/device_trees/gxbb_p200_2G_1Gbit_RealtekWiFi.dtbIn the update folder and reboot to update?
Correct ! Please remove link to the seller. LE rules .
But your box will randomly freeze on Boot up.
You do realise you can leave the working LE Version installed internally and burn the 7.0.3.011 version on an SD Card.
Then Toothpick with the Prepared SD Card and the box will boot to the 7.0.3.011
You can then test all the new releases using the sd card.
When it all works on a particular version, you can install that version to internal.
This version and the 010 version not working on Sunvell t95m 2gb box
That box comes with S905 and S905X chip.
Same name used by this Chinese Brand.
Supply your chip please.
I'm now officially a Broken Record repeating this question over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Can you please post git hash from that build? This is the last part before file extension. Thanks.
Thanks.
All and more than you need.

I flashed this zip and did a factory reset but after that libreelec would not boot anymore.
Think Iḿ going back my old running version..
Im running LibreELEC-Amlogic.aarch64-MiniMX-7.0.2.005-update.zip at this moment.
I tried to re-download the file but my recovery still comes up with that error.Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
I have no idea what you are doing wrong because i have no idea what you already have flashed (Your Quote "Im running LibreELEC-Amlogic.aarch64-MiniMX-7.0.2.005-update.zip at this moment.") Are you running LE from SD Card? or Internal Memory (Nand Install)
If you are running either Version ?, Why are you not using SSH or file manager or whatever to copy the 7.0.3.011
LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.3.011.img.gz along with the correct device tree device_trees
into Update Folder and then rebooting.
Is your Beelink an S905 or S905x Chip.? Is it a Beelink BRANDED Box or just a Black no Beelink Logo box ?
Choose correct Device Tree or you will get the freeze.
