    It fails to me.

The device tree named "gxbb_p200_2G_m8s+_k3_pro.dtb" it must be only for the KIII PRO that has an s912, it doesn't make much sense though, I'm not sure if this build also works in s912 devices.

No s912 Versions Here At LE.

I think Merziyas might have to Flash AceMax Android Firmware then do what you have done.

Hi jmartinez, I think I have the same device as yours. Which dtb.img file are you using? Because I didnt manage to get any of them to work for my device with the newer builds. Could you please share your dtb.img file with me? Thanks in advance.

    ACEMAX KIII S905 2GB 16GB (20161129)

I've tried every dtb.img file out there.

So this means you tried the s905/7.0.3.012/device_trees/????

    gxbb_p200_2G_m8s+_k3_pro.dtb

For my KIII I'm using the standard one for an s905 with 2gb of ram and gigabit ethernet 'gxbb_p200_2G_1Gbit.dtb

Is there a reason you didn't use the K3 device tree ?
    Or did it fail. ?

Thanks kszaq - in the meantime, I have a question about default framerate. When my box (s905x 2GB) boots up it seems to default to 1920x1080p60. I would prefer if it it used 1920x1080p50 as most of the stuff I watch is TV or DVD from Europe. I know the framerate will adapt depending on the source material, but I would like it to default to 50Hz.

    I’ve always used Kodi/System/Video output 1920x1080p @50
Not sure this is your issue.

So basicly if I Burn the iso it extracts on the SD card I will get a standard dtb.img but I need to rename or to replace ((because you can click on the file on device tree and it iwll start downloading )) it with the one which fits for my Box

Aswell can you please tell me which .dtb I need for my box.

    You better read the #1
These MXQ Pro's are having lots of issues.
You must use Temp-Sensor-Disabled versions of LE as S905 Chips are causing Freezes on Bootup

There seems to be a lot of MXQ Pro's showing up with more different issues than any other box.
It looks to me that these boxes are all a mix of Different Boards, Hardware (except for the Amlogic Chip) and Android Firmware .
The MXQ name is irrelevant as it is no longer produced by any so called Chinese Brand.
These things are reminding me of the MXQ S805's with the Mix 'n' Match bits put together with the only pre requisite was that it "Boots Up."

Thank you. I managed to find 1 dtb.img file which will boot up the newer builds correctly. I think its from an older build. Everything works fine including wifi, which never worked on older builds. But no sound means not usable, so had to go back to .005 build. Any other dtb.img , I tried all of them from the newest device tree, will not boot up and stuck on Amlogic S905 logo.

I have posted my android stock dtb in the device tree topic. If you have spare time, could you please look up into it? You would really help me a lot, Ive been trying to get the newer releases working for hours but no luck untill now. Thanks a lot in advance.

Did you catch the following info on the OP.
If you update from 64-bit to 32-bit build your device tree may not update automatically even if you put it in Update folder! You have to replace it manually or perform update process for the second time - i.e. once again put 32-bit build and device tree in Update folder and reboot.

Just trying to to fill in the missing link in the failure you are having.

    Possible WiFi issue:
    Beelink MXIII II S905X 2/16
    Aigale WiFi chip

    I just noticed today - and consistently same after multiple reboots - that the internal WiFi is connected, simultaneously even with Ethernet connection;
Should the WiFi not be 'idle' (disconnected) with Ethernet present?
After start-up I've been manually 'disconnecting' the WiFi

I noticed this on my TX5 Pro with Qualcomm QCA9377 but did not report it as an issue.
I am pretty sure the Ethernet is working over the Wifi connection when Ethernet is plugged in.
    Just letting you know. :)

work from SD only 7.0.2.007 with GXBB_P201.dtb

    This i understand

    If i use V7.img for P200 work with GXBB_P200_1G_100MB.dtb.

I have no idea what V7.img for p200 is ?? I know what GXBB_P200_1G_100MB.dtb. is

Your Box is 2gb Ram with 1000 gigabit Lan. S905 Chip so you have used the correct Device tree.
And Temp Sensor Disabled. So correct from your side.

    MXQPRO+ plus

    hi,
the reboot does not work well.
It remains stationary to logo AMLOGIC 905

I may have to leave this with other Members who have your same box.
    I don't have this box.
I have x 3 S905 boxes and all work with Temp Disabled 32 bit Version 7.0.3.012c
Sorry i cannot help you further.
    All yours kszaq

You don't mention the Device Tree you used to update ?
    gxbb_p201.dtb from s905/7.0.3.012/device_trees/ ????
Or did you skip that part.
Is that your Board you are mentioning.

no way to start libreelec from SD on my OTT MXQ PRO 4K (leelbox) with this version (with or without temp mod, version A, B or C)

    With prev version work fine.

Please confirm your specifications are as below.
What is the previous version that worked ?
    Specifications
Chipset: Amlogic S905 Quad-Core [email protected]
    GPU: Penta-Core Mali-450@600MHz+
    FLASH: 8GB NAND FLASH
    SDRAM: 1GB DDR
    LAN Ethernet: 10/100M

If you have an S905 Chip (Not a S905X)

Read the Opening Page and use the below.

Issues with booting? Freezes? Use a build with disabled temperature sensor:

Sadly I don't have the time to go over all of the LE threads for the S905X so I just wanted to post my findings so far and a few questions:

You might have tried to find 30 seconds of your time to read the Changelog and known issues which would answer the KNOWN issues you asked about.
It would have taken you less time than writing all the observations you just wrote.

    7.0.3.012b
    Great work kszaq
    Confirming Bluetooth Works.
Wifi Hooks Up Every time without toggling.
Wifi Speed has jumped to over 30mbps (Using 5g with an ac capable router over 20 metres away on another floor.)
    :)

Just to add something obvious. Every time I've tried to boot LE off a USB drive or SD card and it has failed (stays at the boot logo), 99.99% of the time, it is because I'm using an incorrect device tree.

While the instructions here are fantastic, what is not immediately obvious is what the default dtb.img with LE is for. It may be obvious to some, but it wasn't to me.

For e.g., every single one of my boxes (have 5 at present) is a S905x/2GB/16GB/100mbps box. The default LE SD card would not boot on ANY of them. Then I used the 2GB 905x device tree (gxl_....2g), put it on the SD card, deleted the default dtb.img, and renamed the tree to dtb.img and the SD card/USB drive has booted every single time using the reset method.

Read my post reply above link. Read the highlighted Blue Text.
I think that is what your issue may be.

If you update from 64-bit to 32-bit build your device tree may not update automatically even if you put it in Update folder! You have to replace it manually or perform update process for the second time - i.e. once again put 32-bit build and device tree in Update folder and reboot.
