Are you talking about WOL being sent from the mac mini to a NAS? .. or WOL waking the mac mini itself?

I've seen complaints about people not being able to wake mini's from suspend using IR remote controls in the past and although the actual reason is not understood it has something to do with kernel changes that result in the box going into S4 state and the IR receiver not being powered to receive the wake signal. Those reports always have a "but it used to work on <some older release>" comment. I'd hypothesise your issue probably has it's roots in the same kernel changes. It's nothing specific about moving from OE to LE, it's all about something in the kernel and you'd see the same issue if you moved from OE 6.0 to OE 8.0 as well.

OE 8.x and LE 8.1.x support SMB3 which is what Win10 requires. LE 8.0.x does not. Update to the 8.1.2 beta.

We don't speak for other distro's, but even if they do have images that boot an S805 the performance will suck balls in the same way and for the same reason. The box does not have enough RAM.

It results in different (more efficient) code paths being used at kernel level and this results in NAS file transfers achieving higher throughput. NFS mounts should give an event faster rate as there's no encrypt/decrypt processing required unlike SSHFS mounts. If you're using SMB3_11 mounts the speed of SMB should be fairly similar to NFS too.

ActiveAEResampleFFMPEG.cpp is part of Kodi (going by the name) so you'd have to "patch" Kodi sources at build time and create your own custom image. There are instructions on self-building in the wiki. There are no other current options. AFAIK the ADSP work should reappear in Leia, though that is still some way off.
