There is no problem using "problematic" video drivers if you play your content with Hardware_Decoding set to ON
My X92 box is VERY stable running CE.9.0_devel image. I have no problems with it except that it sometimes it takes a few minutes to turn OFF, but not every time, so it does not bother me

With it there is installed TWRP Recovery. I would like to test LibreElec (boot from SD Card, not installing) and I have little problem. The only way I can reboot to recovery is "terminal emulator" method by using "reboot update" command. I don't have reset or menu button, don't have "update" app. So I used terminal emulator to reboot recovery but after this it runs TWRP. What should I do to boot from SD Card in this case?
Did you try a simple app from Google Stor, "Reboot to LibreELEC" ? It should reboot from Android and boot from SD card.
With it I solved a similar problem on an X96Mini with broken reset button...
I use this app to boot to my TWRP "recovery.img". After I make some major changes in Android I just stick in my SD card containing TWRP recovery.img and use "Reboot_to__LibreELEC" to boot TWRP and save my complete Android images.

- Burn a SD card with your preferred image.
- Unplug box from power.
- Insert SD.
- Press and hold the reset button.
I'm afraid that box (Mecool M8S PRO) does not have the Reset button...

None, I don't use it nor see any need for it. Power On is all I sometimes need.
-
Power OFF does not work with LE/CE on SD card. Power ON works if the Power Off is done within Kodi Power Menu.
With this box, as with X96Mini and with all my other apliances, I use an old Logitec Harmony 525 IR remote. Harmony is loaded with some similar box data (I don't remember the model) and major commands worked except Power ON. For that funktion to work I made direct copy from original IR remote to Harmony remote via IR sensors...

Hey,
Any hints Hints Available that the Display of this Display working?
Link to the Box : X92 Android 6.0 S-912 Octa-core Smart TV BOX 2+16GB 5.8GHz WiFi HD Multimedia EU | eBay

Had a couple of X96, and it has cooling problem, although not as much as X96Mini, due to the idiotic cooling method that is used on those boxes.
If you want to stream only FHD, than 100MB Lan is enough. For UHD you need 1GB.
-
X92 3GB/32GB. You can order it with Android 6.0 or Android 7.1.2. I have one with 7.1.2 which works perfect in Android and with Libre/CoreElec from SD card...
-
EVERY small box has temp problems, no matter what processor is inside, because there isn't enough place for a decent cooler.
-
Well, I don't want to suggest which box or SoC you should buy, only suggested to buy a big box for less cooling problems.
Which is better, is not for me to say. IR remote works, but I don't use it at all.
What do you mean by "What is with Display", which display?

First, to press the reset button in AV port in order to boot from SD/USB you need to do this ONLY ONCE. You do it only the first time when installing the image. After the image is installed your box will boot automaticaly to SD if the card is inserted. If SD card is not inseted the box will boot to internal Android...
Second, if you buy S912 box choose a big one like X92, because those big boxes have no cooling problems.

All the time I am writing about Wrxtasy's 8.2.4 Subtitles-ff.
I am very happy now, but I can't get that overclock working because dtb.img does not match with my H96 Pro+CoreElec and LibreElec 9.0 Devel is completely new for me, even never heart of it.
There is a simple way to overclock GPU in CE.9.0 version, as boot2k3 kindly explained to me over PM, in order not to spam in this thread. Ask him on PM to point you in the right direction

Thanks a lot !!!
I´ll give it a try first with Win32DiskImager ( just because it´s simpler) ...
To write an image from SD card to disk in Win32DiskImager you first have to choose the place and name for the image, and then click on Write

X92 has 2 versions - q200 and q201. Besides that q201 comes with 100MB Lan and with 1GB Lan.
I had "no luck" and got q201 with 1GB Lan, so I can use both images. Since I don't use Lan, I don't care which specific .img I use.
My box works the same with both. I cannot spot any difference between q200 and q201.

Where is the link to "LibreELEC 9.0 devel image (April 12)" version?
Although, I intend to stick with CoreElec.9.0_devel due to the "situation" with developers...

Try echo 5 > /sys/class/mpgpu/cur_freq
I know this. That is how I test GPU freq: on 8.2.4_OC version I get 792MHz, but on CoreElec devel I get 500MHz.
-
Wrxtasy made this settings allready in his new build?
So I can just leave as it is now and don't think about that 792 MHz anymore?
On which version?
I use mentioned advancedsettings.xml only on CoreElec devel version to eliminate subtitle stutter.
Your test file has embedded subtitle.srt, which are less problematic for me than externall.srt; so I extracted .srt to use it externally for testing.
Btw, your test file is almost all a zooming sequence, but the stutter is easier to spot on panning scenes with vertical lines.
