sorry, I don't know about the boot process.

Hi, I have a Intel Nuc, setup as server, & client. Libreelec (Kodi 17.6) I have a usb T2 tuner
I also have a Beelink S905 Libre 17.6 setup as a client, & H96 Pro (S912) as a client, with Libre 17.6 I also have a different usb for the H96 with 18
But I leave the NUC on all the time.
Not sure what versions of tv head I have on each device.
There is an addon called advance wake on lan, not sure if that can be used? ( I might be talking out of my a**e)
There is a setting in kodi, wake on use?

I think all the developer is getting at, is you can run from sd, if you install to internal & then want to go back to android, you will need to reinstall the original firmware, which might not be easy.
If you do go ahead & install to internal, it will be on your on head.
I haven't heard of libreelec bricking a device
YOU MUST install to sd card/usb first, if that works, then you can install to internal.
You need the correct device tree which depends on the RAM & LAN size, if you do use the wrong device tree it just won't work.
But all you need to do in that case, just try a different device tree

I don't know much about log files
I did find this page How to use ProtonVPN on Linux? - ProtonVPN Support although it says linux, perhaps you can download the files & put them in a folder like I suggested?
It seems you need an openvpn logon which is different to the proton log on

This thread was started by zomboided, there are some fault finding tips on the first page
-
Perhaps it would be easier to use one of the supported vpn's for zomboided

I seem to remember, a couple of mine failed, try another perhaps tcp or udp?
I think the recommended is udp.
I seem to remember also having tls files, & crt files in the same folders.
I'll have a google to see if I can find these.

We got there in the end.

I am seeing two threads. I will reply to this one.
From your other thread, have you added your user name & password to the zomboided vpn addon?
This is how I added Nordvpn to the Zomboided addon
Download zomboided addon zip file. Install from zip
Then add vpn manager.
Configure vpn addon
VPN Configuration: vpn provider, select user defined, then put in user name & password for your openvpn account, underneath this: user defined wizard select folder that you created & added the files tcp, udp to (you need to search openvpn for these)
It will then take time to process them,
VPN Connections: first vpn connection, & select the connection to whatever server you want
It should then connect
I'm sorry, but I am not sure what you are doing.

What make/model of dvb adapter is it? As already requested

this is where my problems start because i can not find openvpn on kodi when it should be there
I am using Nordvpn, which is not in the drop down list of providers. I had to select user defined, then add details manually.
I created a folder on my storage & added the server files to that. You need to tcp? & udp? then follow the wizard, on the addon.
I had a quick look, but I can't find the files for Openvpn

I received advice but did not know how to use it. The "Connections" window in the LE menu mentions the term VPN. But I can not add VPN going through this way. I can just modify the existing wired connection and the add command does not exist.
I think I replied to you in another post. You need to install the Zomboided add on, then configure it, but you have to subscribe to a vpn ie ipvanish, nordvpn
Je pense que je t'ai répondu dans un autre post. Vous devez installer le Zomboided add, puis le configurer, mais vous devez vous abonner à un vpn ie ipvanish, nordvpn.

hello I come here because I have no information on the wiki and no answer on the forum. For me it is incomprehensible to find any information on the installation of a VPN on Libreelec using the Kodi interface. All the sites I read about installation with sudo that do not work on LE. Help
Install the Zomboided addon
01. Installation · Zomboided/service.vpn.manager Wiki · GitHub
you do need to subscribe to a vpn provider

To put a newer version on, just copy the tar file to the update folder, via explorer or coreftp lite
I also check to see if the device tree is a newer version, & put that in the update folder as well.
then reboot

Why do you need to get to upgrade mode? doesn't it have a reset switch?
