Try this, at the bottom of the page on Kodi where it says add network location, add location, fill in ip address, protocol, user name password. etc
Then go back to add movies to the library using your the network location

thx bubblegum57, yes i now, but the image that i use with the right ram and ethernet speed, will only work with wlan and not with lan.
well if you have tried all of the dtb's then perhaps there isn't one that will give you what you want.
Hi, i buy a M8S Pro 2GB/16GB. I can't find a dtb.img that will work for network.
Mybe someone has a hint for me.
kind regrads Scan
the dtb is based on RAM size & ethernet speed (hint)
I have just plugged in a usb stick, it shows a message. I assume your's doesn't
So, if you go to file manager, add new source, browse, Root filesystem, media, can you see a hard drive there?
This is the M/N of my Mecool M8S Pro L box PS. YZDZ15-0502000. Should be the same model number as your PS. If so, this link gives you the size of the connector.
Since you are purchasing a different PS, you may want to go for a 5 volt 3 amp if it has the same connector.

The one in the link is for the UK, he has one of those, he needs a USA psu
might be easier to ask the site where you got it, for a replacement.
I've downloaded the file
CodeLibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.3.1.tar https://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/8.2/8.2.3.1/LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.3.1.tar
and copied the file to my Scishion V88 Pro (S905X) Update library via Samba. Rebooted and now it only shows me the start screen with the S905 Chipset - no boot any more. What have I done wrong? LibreELEC was flashed into the internal NAND on this box...
I've tried to flash the file on my two WeTek Play 2 boxes - the upgrade failed, it shows me an error message, that this Rom is not compatible with the aarch64 structure of the WeTek Play 2.Would be great to receive help in both cases - thank you!
Do you mean, the update folder? not update library? If you can't get network/ssh access you might be better off, creating a new image on sd card, then when happy, installtointernal
Note, this thread is choosing a box, you really need to post a new thread
Thanks again for your patience and help but I already have all those permissions as admin.
When I have a moment I will uninstall TVHeadend and re-install it from scratch to see if it makes any difference. I don't suppose there is a way to back up and re-import the configuration so I don't have to edit all the channels again?

I googled & found this [TUTORIAL] Howto: Backup your TVHeadend Settings - WeTek Community Forum
is your configuration set to Advanced?
Try this
Stream, add, from the drop down, select Transcode/av-lib
From Container select WEBM/built in
Comment WEBTV profile VP8/Vorbis/WEBM (don't think this is important)
Video codec libvpx: libvpx VP8
Video codec preset faster: h264 / h265 / qsv(h264)
Audio codec libvorbis: libvorbis
leave the rest as default,
I'm sure there is a way easier than this, but don't know how
I originally tried this with pht 1.8 on a Beelink S905, that seemed to work.
I have now tried pht 1.9, I created the Libreelec image with the device tree, & it booted from the latest 8.2.2.3.
That worked, I then put the pht 1.9 version into the update folder & rebooted, after initially extracting the archive, it then rebooted, & just hangs at the Pht logo.
I previously tried to created the image of pht from the img.gz, but that still hangs.
