Also, perhaps you need to create the images on a microsd card, perhaps this device won't boot from usb

If, like my Mecool M8S Pro L there isn't a reset button, as said, install an android app, Terminal Emulator & reboot update. Or, as you plug the power lead in, press the context button on the remote several times quickly.

I don't know. So try them all, you don't need to recreate the image, just rename & replace the dtb.img file

As far as I remember, you don't unpack. you burn the image, then replace the device tree with the one for your device

Download, iso or image of version you want, ie x86 x64 ? then use rufus or etcher to create boot media on usb. Then when booting press F10 ? for boot menu, then you should see the usb, the second one down will say OS, select that
It could be the bios settings, EUFI or legacy, can't remember
If you know all this, sorry. You could try to wipe the usb before creating the bootable image. I use Lovel, to zero fill the usb

You will have to search this forum, some time ago, someone using a Logitech 650, set it up using the Pivos xios profile, the pivos has play stop buttons. then you have change the codes, search setting up a remote from scratch. I have forgotten how to do this.
Or, you could install coreelec, it used to come with some preinstalled remotes, but the latest version, you need to ssh to re enable them
I used a Mecool KIII profile on my Logitech 350.
Or just get a wifi remote with llearning functions

Hello, i started thinking about to replace my S912 Box (M8S Pro L with Voice Remote) with a S905X Box (Tanix 5 Pro).
I primarily use Kodi with the Box booted from a sdcard. Sometimes i use Netflix under Android.
Which really annoys me, is that i cant use the original remote under Kodi with the S812 box, only IR is available, which kinda works...but smooth is something different! So i use a Xiaomi BT Remote, which works well, but only i need to reboot...which not happens often, but is still annoying.
Another thing is that i often read that the S912 has worse support from the gpu, because there is only a workaround available for this. So S905X has better/native(?) driver support.
The questions are: Works the remote from the Tanix TX 5 Pro out-of-the-box under Kodi, or does there only works the IR part of the remote as well? Does the remote works well?
The box i am looking for needs to have a AV Port, because i cant use HDMI or SPDIF for audio, i need the audio jack! And i need 2 USB ports as well. So the Tanix TX 5 Pro looks good. And here are some users who are saying that the box is working well.
I recently bought a Mecool M8S Pro, it came with a voice remote, but I found that it didn't have a mouse, which is needed for some android apps.
So I purchased a voice remote, which also had a keyboard on the back, a mouse, & 4 programmable IR buttons. It was about $10, I am not sure if I can post a direct link, but if you PM me, I can send you a liink

If you keep on having to run fsck, perhaps the drive is faulty. Perhaps you need to try putting it in an enclosure & checking it with some of the manufacturers test tools.

Hi, As this is the only forum with remote control codes for android boxes I would ask a question. I have an android tv box MXV. On my mobile phone i have IR, but no apps on Google Play that ssupport it. Does anyone know a good app with search code function or something lile that ?

Hello first time post here. I am trying to get Nord VPN installed on a KODI Liberelec box but when I try to run it I get an error that says it could not authenticate with VPN provider and to check user name/password, which I have done and they are correct as I can install and run Nord VPN successfully on my Windows PC and the details are correct when I look at the settings screen. My ISP is Plusnet and the default router they provide and I have a static IP address for the Kodi box - Any ideas as to what I can try please?
I have Nord vpn, I use zomboided's manager. I don't have any issues. I am with plusnet.
Are you using a US keyboard? or the onscreen keyboard?

The latest stable builds are [8.2.3.1] LibreELEC 8.2 for S905/S905X
These are krypton, if you want beta Leia builds you need to look at coreelec
You need to search this forum on instructions how to install an image, these builds do not use the burning tool.
Basically, you need a device tree for your box, this is based on the LAN speed & RAM
Then if it doesn't boot, try a different device tree.
The remote might not work, so use a usb cabled keyboard for the initial setup, then if the remote doesn't work, you need to search the forum for how to get the remote working.
