I am wanting to uninstall the entire OS so i can install another OS. I do not intend to use it for Kodi but for Linux. I dont know how to format the Kingston SSD so i can load Unbuntu via USB drive.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think if you install ubuntu, there is an option, to use whole disk.
or create a bootable usb, with gparted
ok thanks I am looking into it. I keep getting some crazy errors when i try to boot Unbuntu from the USB drive.
Download, iso or image of version you want, ie x86 x64 ? then use rufus or etcher to create boot media on usb. Then when booting press F10 ? for boot menu, then you should see the usb, the second one down will say OS, select that
It could be the bios settings, EUFI or legacy, can't remember
If you know all this, sorry. You could try to wipe the usb before creating the bootable image. I use Lovel, to zero fill the usb
