I tested this build on a KDL-40BX400 Sony TV set, and got the pink/green screen a few minutes after booting
-
I finally upgraded from 7.0.3.012k to 8.2.1.1, as I replaced my Sony TV which didn't handle RGB mode.
Brilliant build, thanks again kszaq

for me 7.0.3.012K was the best.

Besides the missing RGB fix I haven't found any misbehavings in 8.1.3 on Wetek Play 2 (NAND install).

Same here with the last 2 builds, and the 2 same commands.

After rebooting the box, I had to enter again user/password the first time to access a windows share. There must be a way to store that info in a config file but I don't know how. Any idea?
Hi
you can permanently mount CIFS shares by creating a file in /storage/.config/system.d
There's a sample file (cifs.mount.sample)

mmpp , here's a rgb test build (to be set in the same way).
Release 8.2-rgbtest · amillogical/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
It's built off kszaq's current tree with a kernel patch. When you first reported issues with force_rgb and the attr method worked for you, we still had the following commit in kernel: drivers/amlogic/hdmi: set video color parameter as well with forced o… · amillogical/linux-amlogic@4ad76d3 · GitHub
I had reverted it along with the sysfs interface commit immediately after your report, but in hindsight should have only reverted one.
Hi John
still the same with this build and "echo 'rgb,8bit' > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr" (I had a green screen after ~ 15 minutes of HEVC playback).

RGB still not work.
Yes, same here on an old Sony TV.

Hi
SMB/NFS shares are defined in /storage/.config/system.d (take a look at nfs.mount.sample).
I'm using NFS v3 with these options :
Options=hard,sync,intr,rw,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768
You only need to give Kodi R/W rights if you want to be able to delete files from Kodi, or if you want Kodi to download subtitles where your videos are stored
-
In fact /storage/.kodi already exists, it's where your Kodi settings are stored
You just have to create a sub directory 'Fonts' in /storage/.kodi/media
-
Hi
LIRC is not used with the Amlogic ('amremote' is used instead).
You can however register a second remote, see this HowTo : thread-5154.html
-
Hi
Subtitles - Official Kodi Wiki states this :
Quote
Additional fonts can be stored in the Kodi folder (one level below userdata) at Kodi/media/Fonts/Can you create the /storage/.kodi/media/Fonts folder and copy the .ttf inside ?

Hi kszaq
I've tested the 05/08 build on an SD card (with NFS shares mounted from LE, and passthrough using SPDIF), and so far I haven't encountered stutter : drop/skip counters stay at 0, and visually every "fast" scenes are smooth. It's the first LE8 build with which I haven't had an issue with stutter
I'll use it for a few days, with full length movies, and will let you know.

It seems the rebuilt k is available since yesterday evening : Index of /s905/7.0.3.012/

Well, CPU-Z should tell you exactly wich SoC your box has
