Hi, I installed last build and tried to boot it in KI Pro with this SD:
It doesn't boot, is it possible to boot with that sd?
The SD card is too big, the box accepts up to 32GB cards.

Are there news on whether we can update to GDPR-2 's Leia build somehow?
Or will it break stuff and is it adviced anyways to start clean with LE Leia build?
LE 9.0 is a bit of a mess at the moment. I tried it yesterday and ran back to 8.2.
Use a second SD csrd\USB to test it if you want but keep your 8.2 installation.
So it looks like the update downloaded without a reboot or power off.
I was surprised but there must be a check for update without powering on
or maybe the new update push caused the update whilst box was on ??
You might be right. I have the update .tar in my .update folder. The creation time and date of the file is 7.1.2018-02.05am. That's about 7 hours after the last reboot.
Maybe KODI 19 will not work on S905, S905X and S912 - Don´t matter now.
I wonder, how many of us will be using S9xx boxes in 2-3 years time, when Kodi 19 is released...
Is anyone also noticing TVHeadend/Live-TV not working properly?
Only SD channels play fine, but HD channels do not open or stutter.
No problems here.
TV Headend client 3.4.27.1 \ Server 4.2-8.2.113
Edit: I had a small problem just now: when I started a large file transfer from my PC to one of the USB HDDs connected to my box, live TV started "buffering". Strange...
Before 8.2.2.2 if your device did not have MAC address burnt into the board, it would either use a random MAC address or one of default ones: co:ff:ee:00:01:9f or 00:15:18:01:81:31. This is problematic if you want to use more than one device without factory MAC in one network. 8.2.2.2 introduces generating MAC address from SoC serial number for devices that don't have factory MAC - this means that devices with proper MAC address should be unaffected (tested on all my devices), while those without MAC will get a shiny new address that will be unique and persist over reboots.
I see. Mine was using 00:15:18:01:81:31 so the mystery is solved
I've never seen a notification either but I'm not always looking
The update from 8.2.2.1 to 8.2.2.2 caused problems with my box's connection to the internet. LAN worked but I could get nothing from the internet.
I noticed that the MAC address of the box had changed and my router did not recognize the new one. As a result, the router blocked all internet traffic.
Never had such problems before or problems with random MAC addresses.
Remind me please: I have LE on SD card. If I change/update my Android firmware, do I have modify the bootloader again with the toothpick method?
Kodi has been updated and the latest patches from afl1
Are these patches DVB-T related? Any chance they'll break a perfectly running LE?
I broke it in one of the releases and didn't realize until the next one, apologies for that
No problem, I don't really trust auto-update on any application anyway
If you satisfied with the pi3 and don`t need 4k then no need to change to amlogic especially not to s905.
There is also HEVC playback. The RPi3 can't handle 1080p HEVC (not to mention 10bit HEVC which plays flawlessly on my S905X)
Auto update is broken in 1.0.6. You have to go manually.
OK, thanks.
I remember reading something about it but couldn't find that post. Site search is a bit broken.
Is there a problem with the auto-update function? I have ver.1.0.6 on my SD card but it won't update to 1.0.8.
My main problem with these builds is that my favourite skin isn't compatible :p
Other than that, I haven't found any major problems compared to kszaq's 8.2.x.x versions.
I installed libwidevine again when I saw DRM failure errors in the log and it's now working.
I just found strange that the automatic update from 1.0.3 to 1.0.6 would mess up the system.
I assume the widevine library is no longer included in this build for copyright reasons. But It also deletes the library if it is already installed?
i upgraded from 1.0.3 to the latest version and I can no longer use NF.
Hmm... strange, the h264 trailer with aac 5.1 audio plays just fine on my box..
Did you play the file more than once?
Sometimes the sound is OK and other times it's not.
You're not missing something.
Kodi is missing the ability to decode Netflix or other encrypted streams using hardware acceleration.
