Hi all.
Ive installed iagl on my NUC running libreelec. It works pretty well on some emulators. Mame works fine, megadrive works fine etc. But i cannot get the puae amiga emulator to work.
Ive got the kickstart files in the right place, and i can see it start to load the kickstart, but when i try and load a game through iagl, or even just load PUAE, it just crashes kodi. The pc doesnt resart, just kodi.
Has anyone got this working?
Thanks

thanks, ill just leave it as it is.
Once i get a new tv, id be using arc or optical back to the amp, so no bitsreaming hd audio then anyway.
It works fine as it is, and hevc is better than the previous nuc.

It seems like BIOS AND Windows (!) graphics driver write some firmware, which will be used by LE: Click! So update both.
I was already using the latest bios and the latest HDMI firmware, both of which are much newer than the 2017 threads saying this was fixed with an update. i rolled both versions back a bit (but still newer than 2017) in case intel broke it again.
in windows i installed latest GPU driver and ran the HDMI update tool again. no change.
There was some suggestion that this only mattered when using an AVR with HDMI 2, but a lot of complaints didnt specifiy it was hdmi 2 on the AVR, but it exactly matches my symptoms.
One last attempt, ive brought it into the office today to try the HDMI update on a monitor with HDMI 2.0. It doesnt specify that it needs to be HDMI 2 in the intel documentation on the update, but its mentioned in some internet chatter.
During this update, the screen went black for a worrying amount of time, rather than just a second in previous attempts, so perhaps it has done something different this time... i'll try it when i get home.
If that doesnt work, i'll just switch off the support for DTS-MA and TRUE-HD in settings. I'm going deaf in one ear and ive got tinitus, so i doubt i can hear the difference anyway. I had being beaten by these things though haha.

so i installed windows and Kodi. HD audio doesnt stream in windows either.
i tried putting the hdmi firmware back to v1.72, which was the only version i can find a copy of. No change.
I tried rolling back a few versions of BIOS, no change.
Its wierd. this is exactly the issue people were having back in 2017. and these fixes are supposed to have sorted it from what ive read.

anyone have version 1.66 of the HDMI firmware for the NUC6CAYH?

Ive come across this:
98797 – [BXT/KBL] - HDMI - HD audio passthrough dont work
around comment 110, there is mention of a working fix, but then comment 124 suggested issues with adjust Refreshrate to match video. Then the thread ends. I cant remember if i tried it with that setting off... Its the first setting i set, as i hate the judder.
ive found an earlier HDMI firmware. I updated to 1.77 which appears to be the latest. All the "fixes" seem to refer to 1.66. All chatter on this issue seems to be around 2017, which is what made me think this should be fixed by now. I still have the windows install on the old SSD i think, so i'll try rolling back to an earlier HDMI version and see if that helps.

ahhh, he is still on holiday, i thought i saw him active on the forum.
I will try and do some research about the driver.
I saw some posts from a few years back about the blacklist. I pasted in the suggested command, but it didnt appear to change anything.
When you say blacklist, what are we doing here? Forcing it to use that driver? Or to not use that driver? Its not a term ive heard anywhere else.
Thanks

Any updates?

great, thanks for your help

i tried the latest nightly, installed to a different drive, its exactly the same unfortunately
although saying that, trying to playback the demo files with the DTS-MA and dolby TrueHD no longer breaks the audio. with the previous install, i'd lose the ticks in the UI or the sound would go all tinny. It doesnt seem to do that with the nightly.
Who is the Audio Guru? just so i can keep an eye out for posts from them.
Thanks

Hi.
Yes, currently 1080p plasma with a AVR that supports DTS MA and Dolby TrueHD.
The old system worked fine. but would struggle a bit on some 1080p HEVC, this should decode those in hardware
I tried selecting 2.0, 5.0 and 5.1 in the audio settings, no change.
Log file: (if ive done it correctly)
The thing i mentioned about the refresh change not happening at the start of the file, only seems to happen when i play one of the dolby/dts demo file. These are quite short, so perhaps that has something to do with it.
i can post a log of that too, i dont know if it would overwrite the previous log?
Thanks for your help
another thing, when i installed libreelec on the nuc, it was connected to my pc monitor, not the AVR and TV. Could that be the issue?

Im still at 1080p. The cable worked fine with the previous nuc playing the same file.
