IIRC linode hosts the latest firmware binary which is 1.0.0-4. You may have compared it earlier and it matched but when they updated deb from 1.0.0-3 to 1.0.0-4, tar.gz was also updated without changing file name. I can repack 1.0.0-3 deb to tar.gz and put it in my sources so that LE master package.mk can be updated with 1.0.0-3.

That would be great if you could, it would save me doing it

The reason is that my builds use 1.0.0-3 firmware and build from GDPR-2 uses 1.0.0-4 which is known to cripple WiFi performance.

    Compare:

    LibreELEC.tv/package.mk at libreelec-8.2 · kszaq/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub

    LibreELEC.tv/package.mk at master · LibreELEC-AML/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub

I'm sure when I submitted that to LE that I did a diff and there was no difference in the binary contained inside the deb file and the one inside the source file. I will look at this again later.

I just tested your latest build on my T95M just to see whether the LCD will work or not.

It showed no signs of life. Is there anything I can do to get it to work? From either testing or developers perspective?

It's only for the Tanix TX3 mini at present, there is code available for the T95M and another box but I have not prepared this yet, it's on my to do list :) send me a message please so I remember to contact you to be a tester for it when I add it.

Thanks for your report, the driver was updated for Realtek devices recently, can you check the very last release by kszaq 8.2.2.3 as I think this had the same driver as well. 8.2.2.2 had the older one.

    Yes.

But even when disabled i get some pitch "wavers", especially when watching 720p h264 50fps live tv (e.g. german channel "das erste") while browsing the kodi menu system on my nexbox a95x.

Under options/skin settings/general everything is disabled.

Is there anything more to tweak, speedup the kodi gui?

Is there any low end rescource saving skin avaliable?

Do not enable "sync playback to display" !!! This is already done as part of amcodec and will cause issues. Please try the test build by afl1

There is already a script in the build that does this automatically so you have probably broken it, run the following commands,

    LibreELEC:~ # rm -rf /storage/.kodi/cdm

    LibreELEC:~ # getlibwidevine.sh

I sweard not to update too soon, but instead keep old versions until late beta.

I upgrade anyway from 8.90.1 to 8.90.2 and the following things are broken now:

    - reboot does not work anymore

    - wlan has very slow connection or disconnects on two different wlan adapters (8.90.1 works perfectly)

    - language german is not possible anymore

Reboot and german language most certainly do work.

Which WLAN chipset do you have?

hello everybody , i own a dvb external tuner a : DVB-T/DAB USB dongle with Realtek RTL2832 chipset (sometimes badly named as RTL2838

is there the possibility to use with a m8sii and crazy driver,i tested it but for me is is not recognized , i installe dvb crazy driver but everywhere there is no track of usb dvb dongle? can you help me? thanks

crazycat only works for devices that it has a driver for, because of the older 3.14 kernel we can't use a lot of the newer kernel modules that are available so your device may/may not be supported

The same type of display fd628, but have different pictures
    VFD-X92.txt

I you need testing I can perform it with required feedback or arrange an remote access to ssh to test it on device when required.
In any case thank you for your time.

I hope time part of display works in the same way

I have some plans to separate the fd628 driver from the os for the Tanix boxes, similar to what is done with crazycat and external dvb drivers, as soon as I have done that it will make it much easier for me to support additional drivers like the one for your box, there is some testing that will be needed.

got a Mecool M8S L running libreelec and sharing files on network via inbuilt WiFi.

Checked network speed using a win 10 laptop, copy a 8.5gb over the network.

Only getting around 1.0MB/s with this build. Get around 3.0MB/s with 8.2.2.3.

Nothing I can do about this, it's using the same driver's, this sounds like pebcak.

This sounds like a hardware issue I'm afraid as I haven't experienced this with any of my boxes.

GDPR-2, is there any info for my dtb?

    I did look at it.

It seems Tanix is using a different driver for it, I have 2 options, I can either modify the dtb to work with the one that I'm using for the TX3 mini and hope it works or there is another open sourced driver available but it means adding further code for a device that I can't test which I don't like doing if I can't personally test it.

Javi that's great and thanks for getting the vendor to supply these to us, it will certainly go a long way to adding better support for Tanix boxes to LE in the future.

A lot of developers have heard empty promises of sources being provided before so please do not take the hostile attitudes personally, there is a saying... "once bitten, twice shy"

If the vendor could get hold of or release the wifi driver code that would be a big help for us :)

No bug reports will receive a response without logs, I can not help you without them and when you say you did a clean install... what exactly did you do?

hello ,i have a problem with 8.9.0.1 ,yesterday all ok,today librelec doesn't boot the box remain on the logo before boot librelec,if i remove sd ,box normaly boot? what i can do? without reinstalling librelec from 0?? thanks

Download the tar and replace the files on the SD card

v8.90.2 has much stuttering on 4k WLAN-streaming with my BQEEL S912 Box. Buffer runs out. Streams have max 15000 kbit/s.

Going back to 8.90.1.1 - streams smoothly again.

You can replace advancedsettings to improve this.
