I am having problems with Shoutcast in Libreelec. Sometimes it refuses to connect to a radio station and other times it will crash and Libreelect reboots, sometimes into safe mode.
I am using the latest version 11 and the latest Shoutcast available via this platform.
Hello, I've installed LibreElec a hundred times before but today the select version options won't move. I cannot select which version I wish to install. Using Linux Mint 64Bit.

I like Minix remotes but the one I use at the moment the A2 lite, featuring a "six axis gyroscope and accelerometer", will not work in Windows but is great in Libreelec. I don't do any gaming but I have heard of people using them for that. I got that one because it was the cheapest backlit Minix remote available and in fairness was not designed to work in Windows.
I purchased a Mini PC recently that came with Windows 10 installed on one internal SSD and it had another cable to connect an external SSD so I got a 32GB SSD and put LibreElec on that second drive. In this scenario it is possible to technically dual boot without doing anything, other than installing LibreElec on the second SSD which is simple. In Windows 10 there is a boot to Recovery option, once in that you select the Uefi OS and it will load up LibreElec. I had no idea Windows had that function. At no point did I have to go into the BIOS and change the boot order as the Recovery option also allows you to boot from the USB flash drive, which in my case was called Kingston.
Dumped the Ethernet as I found an ancient WiFi dongle that I thought was useless, guess what, I found a use for it. And I now have WiFi.
It will be fixed when it is fixed in the kernel. With seeing your ETA quote I would not hold breath.
Unlikely, unless there was motivation to include the external driver by owning such a realtek chip.
So I'm S.O.L as they say in the good ol' U.S. of A.

Not much is the way of conversation about 8821 and rfe6, though there is conversation about 8822 and rfe6. Search for - "rfe type 6" 8821ce
"The rtl8821ce chip has multiple variants. As of now only RFE 0 and 1 are supported in the release. A fix for RFE 2 is in the works, other types have no ETA yet."

Usually third party Realtek drivers can be included into a community build, but will not be added any more to official builds.
You can use the existing drivers as exsamples.

I've just found a "community build" by "Sky42" version 10 generic. Do you think this will fix my WiFi problem?
Do you think it's worth posting this problem elsewhere or am I definitively screwed. Any recommendations?

I think Libreelec beta 2 is using Linux kernel 5.10 so would the following work?
Wi-Fi not working for kernel >= 5.9
The Linux Kernel 5.9 version comes with a broken
rtw88module developed by Realtek that has poor compatibility with most revision of the 8821ce chip.You must disable it by adding the following to your module blacklists (
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.confCodeblacklist rtw88_8821ceThen, make sure you have the rtl8821ce module correctly installed.
Turn off your computer, wait a few seconds (to force firmware reload) and then turn it on again.
Using samba you likely did create some files/directories with capital letters. Do:

I think you have inadvertently got me to download the wrong version with that. A prior post said
rtw8821c_fw.binPuTTY is refusing to allow me to paste in Mint. It worked once now refuses. I have downloaded both firmwares but the WOW version is also 22c not 21c. I think it should only be the 21c version if I am not mistaken.
All done correctly using PuTTY and the correct firmware, I think, which is version 21c but still not working. Link below.

The WiFi works okay in Linux Mint but wasn't installed initially. I had to install third party drivers which were in the drivers section of that.
The correct path for the firmware should be /storage/.config/firmware/rtw88/rtw8821c_fw.bin
I've got them in /Configfiles/firmware/rtw88/rtw8821c_fw.bin now but that isn't working. Can I take it that /.config/ is not /Configfiles/ I have hidden files shown and I do not see /.config/

You can safely create the directory and then the rtw88 directory to put the bin file into.
Okay I made a new directory named "rtw88" and put "rtw8821c_fw.bin" into that rebooted and WiFi is still not working.

Please confirm that the firmware does indeed fix your WiFi
I made a directory named "firmware" in "Configfiles" and copied "rtw8821c_fw.bin" into that new directory but I must've made a mistake as it still won't work.

Thanks, I have browsed the box via Samba but there is no Firmware directory to add the firmware as shown in the how to guide.

I currently have seven HDD's connected and one of them is a 10TB and another is 8 TB. Libreelec mounts all of them, two of them are 3TB. Mine are all connected by USB, five are in an external enclosure the other two are in individual enclosures. I would go with that too if I were you.
