I've just tested the latest nighly 20230310-91357b0 and it still has the "no signal" issue when configuring the Kodi desktop to 3840x2160 60 Hz or 23,98 Hz as soon as the AV receiver is not in the approriate entry when the RPi4 is booted.
It works well when setting the Kodi desktop to 3840x2160 25 Hz.

I have now been running 12.0.1 for a week and have switched my Denon AVR-X 3600H on and off about 10 times, switched sources as well numerous times.
I am pleased to report the issue appears to be fixed. I am running 60FPS 3840x2160 output in settings and it has reliably always displayed since updating. I have not had to reboot the Pi or switch sources to force output.

Are you using a nighly version or the stable 12.0.1 ?
I see the kernel fix has been merged on Aug 21 . I suspect it has not been included in the stable 12.0.1 published on Aug 26.
I will try the latest nightly and post a report here.

As others her, I have the problem of lack of 3d support by GDM or the associated graphic driver on RPi4.
For some time, I was able to use the workaround by de-activating the 3d in Kody and forcing the TV to switch to the appropriate 3d mode (SBS or Top-Down). The menus and subtitles were not displayed correctly but at least, I was able to watch 3d movies.
Unexpectedly, yesterday this workaround stopped to work and the 3d mode is now in gray in the TV menu. I am still able to make 3d work on some HSBS content via the Sony Player but I can no more watch 3d movies via Kodi ...
My TV is a Sony Bravia 2015 model.
Does anyone have an idea on how to make the 3d mode forcing work back ?

1 UHD h265 Dolby True HD 7.1 audio
1 UHD h265 DTS True HD Master
It works perfectly !

In general, the test builds of libreelec are capable of handling 4k uhd, atmos passthrough but there are still some issues.
Thanks for the update lolek ! I will update to the latest nighly build or select one of the proposed test build on this thread

I just saw here that Kodi 19.0 was released and that librelec and other Kodi centric distributions were going to be updated too but I did not see any details on features like HD audio passthrough and UHD/4k resolution support.
Does anyone know if those features are going to be supported in Kodi 19 on RPi4 ?

I have just installed the nighly build 20200816 and tested HDMI audio passthrough on RPi4 with my Audio decoder (Onkyo TX-NR636) and it works perfectly !
I only tested Dolby Digital for the moment but will try other content in DTS HD and Dolby Atmos and give feedback here.
I look forward the day when 2160p will be added to Kodi 19 alpha to have perfect sound and image at the same time
A big thank to the developpers for this long awaited come back of audio Passthrough
