A detail, but, instead of renaming the DTB file, the idea would be to edit `extlinux.conf
Concerning the Wi-Fi, the first thing I would do is SSH onto the box and check the output of the dmesg command.

What do you read on the screen? Which *.dtb file did you use? Have you tried a different SD card?
With the latest release, LibreELEC 11, hardware acceleration seems to work now! 🎉
BTW, I managed to get Wi-Fi to work. I will create a PR to add the firmware to the image (at some point).
When I search for MK809IV I do get some results:
However, I guess those people do not have models based on the RK3188, so this might not be of any help.
I guess you'll need a suitable *.dtb file (which you can extract from the Android image) and preferably a serial port.
Unfortunately I do not have a 4K TV, sorry. I doubt this is related to the DT though. Are there maybe similar reports for the beta images?
In order for WiFi to work we will need a compatible driver for the HS2734C/AP6330 chip in the image. I plan to look into this topic at some point.
knaerzche could you maybe elaborate what these differences are?
Here my latest DT which shall go into upstream Linux. The attached *.dtb file should work for the latest LibreELEC (Matrix) 10.0 BETA images (LibreELEC-RK3328.arm-9.95.2-a1.img.gz), at least the basic functionality (including remote) that is.
Thanks for testing!
You could try the mainline DTB for the A95X Z2 with LE 10.0 BETA (LibreELEC-RK3328.arm-9.95.1-a1.img.gz). I attached a recent build. (Without investigation) I have no idea if the boxes are remotely similar though.
Thanks knaerzche for your effort. I see quite some improvement here.
I still have Rockchip: add H96 Max+ support by easybe · Pull Request #4195 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub pending. I will give a shot at upstreaming the DT. However, it would be good if we could test it for a while with LE master first. Is that an option?
I am also willing to work on support for other devices if there are people that would benefit from that.
Cheers,
Ezra.
Rapty thanks for all your input. I will consider the overclocking. My WIP DT for mainline kernels you can find here: Rockchip: add H96 Max+ support by easybe · Pull Request #4195 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub. Some time ago I posted a DTB here: Early mainline images for RK3288, RK3328 and RK3399
Hi Ant123. I don't think I can help you there. For me everything just works with the AlfawiseH96pp key mapping referenced in rc_maps.cfg. What kind of remote do you have? Is it an USB remote?
There are some interface issues (when change the source on TV or turn on/off or unplug-plug in HDMI) then the whole image is red filter
I have noticed the same. I might look into that some more at some point (if it is not fixed by then).
Thank you very much for the clarification. I'll just add a hack to the DT.
Hi,
I am working on H96 Max+ / T9 (RK3328) support for master (Rockchip: add H96 Max+ support by easybe · Pull Request #4195 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub).
I think the problem that I am currently facing (vdd_logic too low, see PR comments) is related to the fact that devfreq does not seem to be loaded for the GPU (/sys/class/devfreq/ff300000.gpu/ is empty). With the old rockchip-linux images I have it. Is this even available with the mainline kernel? Any hints what I am missing here?
Cheers,
Ezra.
Hi Apollo11,
The T9 is very similar to the H96 Max+ (RK3328). I am working on full support for future LibreELEC releases (mainline kernel).
In the meantime, checkout [Step by Step Tutorial] LibreElec on H96 Max+ *** Also IR Remote support *** and H96 Max Plus (Rockchip 3328), the instructions should work for you.
Cheers,
Ezra.
Latest (master) mainline Linux images work quite well for me. For more information see my post here: Early mainline images for RK3288, RK3328 and RK3399
FYI: Here the promised pull request: Rockchip: add H96 Max+ support by easybe · Pull Request #4195 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
Here the DTB (for testing with mainline Linux images):
