Huh? Are you saying that LE is not going to add 3D-MVC to the Pi4 version? Is there an official announcement about this?

Long ago the LE team said that 3D-MVC is going to come for the Pi4. They just didn't have a timeline. IIRC it had something to do with the Raspbian kernel being updated to the Linux 5.X line because of the new video drivers or something to that effect, and apparently that hasn't happened yet.

I assumed it already worked on the PI4
LE runs on the Pi4. It just doesn't yet support 3D-MVC and some other features that many want. It does install and work though.

Hence, my request for clarification. To me this statement implied that you tested the 3D files in a setup that could ostensibly play 3D.....otherwise, why test 3D files since you wouldn't you know they are working to begin with? Pi4 has played 2D since it was first released.
Sorry for my confusion....That being said, I'd be willing to help test it on my Pi4 through a Denon Atmos receiver and BenQ-2050 3D projector if that helps

So what you're saying is that it plays without crashing, but you have no idea if it is outputting actual 3D?

I haven’t tried any of the millhouse builds yet because I am still using the Pi3B+. When the Pi4 has a release that supports 3-D I will start messing with it. I have tried the native LE build with 2D and it worked fine a few months back.

I have seen that thread before and it has a lot of good info, especially if you want a ready to go box. However, my goal is to use an open source platform like LibreELEC to do this on a Pi.

That's why I suggest 9.0.x for all RPi lower than version 4.
I "updated" last night. The update itself went fine and it's now running the 9.02 version.
However, when I go in and check for updates it still shows that version being available to upgrade to.
So I ran it again and same thing. Is that normal? -
My suggestion is to "update" to 9.0.2, because 9.1.x has known errors
Isn't 9.1.X the only version that runs on the Pi4? I know that's a side question. I'm just trying to make sure I understand.

I checked m,y Pi3B+ LibreELEC setup and it says I have an update......however the versioning seems off.
Is that right? Does it go from 9.1.002 to 9.0.2?

I am running LibreELEC v9.1.002 on a Pi3B+. That in itself is not a problem. Works great!
However, I have an extensive Plex infrastructure with a server, multiple clients, DVR, etc. All my family members use and like Plex. I prefer the interface myself over Kodi. I'm not here to compare the two or discuss switching to Kodi. I use LibreELEC for the ability to play 3D-MVC. So I installed the Plex For Kodi add-on which gives me the Plex interface and user-account-based login, library access etc but also the ability to play 3D-MVC......ostensibly......
However, when I run it in LibreELEC (as compared to the old OpenELEC or just Kodi) it will launch and run, but with some issues. My Plex library is there, I can browse, change users, etc. However, if I try to play a 3D-MVC movie (one that plays fine in LibreELEC natively) I get that pop-up screen asking me how I want Kodi to treat it:
Problem is I can't do anything in that panel. I can't navigate it with the remote and I even hooked up a mouse to it and still can't click on it. All I can get are the Kodi controls on the bottom. It's like there is a clear Plex or Kodi screen on top of that popup windows that is keeping me from "touching" the popup window to select anything or even click "OK". The Kodi control work, but obviously I can't see most of the screen and I can't tell Kodi what 3D mode I want to run it in.
Second problem is that if I hit "Stop" on the remote or "Back" as per Plex control, it just completely stop and gives me a black screen. System isn't locked up. I can reboot it via SSH, but that's the ONLY way I can get it to do anything. I can't get back to any other screen.
I know LibreELEC doesn't make this plugin but I'm curious if anyone here has used it successfully .
