I am also interested in this answer, but I see this has not been answered in over a year.
Is there any information anywhere else on how to set this up?

I checked our web site Aug22 for kernel 2.6.18 ~ 4.8
I posted something to Edimax to see if they could push Realtek directly.
I also would love to see support for this chipset. The hardware is solid and would significantly help my connection issues.
Is there anything I can do to log this with developers? Is there a feature request link or similar?
Thanks in advance.
Yeah. I implement MikeKL' s ideas. The reason I don't want it to initiate at startup is because I auto execute open VPN, and the start time in the WebGrab logs is well off - probably due to the VPN connection.
So I have a valid reason even if it is niche.

Is the work you are doing similar to the WebGrab+Plus Configurator? I already use that to do mdb post processing.
Also, thanks to MikeKL I have messed around with cron settings because I too didn't want it auto running immediately after startup.

So I did a quick remote test, and it looks like it can access the main machine file over smb - so my TV Guide addon (whiever I use) can access the remote instance of the xml guide. So I should be good.
I can certainly try the smb share approach for TV Guide, just access my main box that will do the work - however that means the main box has to be on all the time, which I have no issue with.
I think the ability to post-process and movie the file to a storage location on smb would be great, it is entirely up to you if you want to develop it - I can try out the smb shares tonight and report back, but as you say it should work fine.
It would be nice to access the sources.db file too, so I don't have to define all the channel links over-and-over again on different boxes.

Just a note - this is great stuff guys, good work and collabortaion - many thanks for your efforts.
WebGrab+Plus does support smb shares on Windows, there must be someway to centralize this guide.xml. I have 3 boxes that could use this. Seems sill to run 3 separate instances.

How to do define a network location for the guide output? The following did not work:
<filename>smb://192.168.0.4/Personal/Kodi/System Files/guide.xml</filename>
Thanks

I initially noticed that I had some missing audio on channels, I sorted my channel line-up through the HDHomerun webpage to remove any weak channels (anything below 70% signal strength), I think that the audio might be getting messed from using a weak channel which may be causing a bug. Now that my channel list is clear I have no audio issues.
I do have issue with the HDHomerun PVR Client on Raspberry Pi running LibreELEC 7.90.003, the client will not install - or at least it installs then disables itself. The error is saying the following file is missing:
libhdhomerun.so
I have installed the driver for HDHomerun from under Program addons, which I thought was the driver - but I guess it isn't working, or putting the file in the expected location??
