Release 2019-12-10-RPi4 · magicseb/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
latest release
Updated to 18.5 kodi
Arokhaerr You can try a full reset settings. It will remove anything and copy cores (again) in correct place.
Or reburn an SD with an older release
Yep i think i found out where is the problem.
It should be linked to http://linux.arm.conf/kodi/ffmpeg
I need to test things to confirm.
Even, last changes pushed should work.

Can you check in System/Audio if you can change to PI HDMI or something ?
If it's greyed and only pulseaudio is possible with bluetooth, then you need to wait a fix from Libreelec team.
Thanks for your feedback, I will publish a new release
Cael miezbert Thanks for your test
I have made a new build with LATEST firmware files, you will be able to use wifi again.
I hava added notes about rpi4 building. I don't know why building SDL2-git need to be clean and rebuilt to get a working image.
May be i should build it at the very end of oem ?
Nevermind, it works libreelec-rpi4.arm-9.80-devel-20190810224604-2ba8e47.img.gz
I've got the same problem before
And yes it's strange but hdmi0 get the video hdmi1 get kodi interface but no video.
Thank you for the Build.Emulationstation works great but i get a Kernel Panic Memmory dead locked on the RPI4 4GB version after a few Minutes of playing.
What game and what do you use ?
miezbert can you test it on your 4gb model ?
I use a 2 gb model as dev unit
Seems stable, runned 3 hours without crash
Thank you for your participation.
I have made a new build with a 4.19 kernel from lakka
and a retrograded firmware based on lakka too
I hope we will get a better working version
libreelec-rpi4.arm-9.80-devel-20190809204108-4cdd5c4.img.gz
I'm running starfox 2 on snes9x core with eagle shaders enabled, i expect to not crash in next 2 hours.
Display MoreHej all,
I installed LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-9.1.002.img.gz on my Pi 4 (4GB RAM).
The playback of video starts, but it only plays the sound. The video itself stays black.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Cheers,
Bjoern
Hi
If you plug your cable on HDMI1 you will not get the video. It's on HDMI0
Hello Cael The actual image use 32 bits (arm) kernel
i use this pkg config options : PKG_CONFIGURE_OPTS_TARGET+=" --disable-videocore --disable-opengl1 --enable-kms --disable-x11 --enable-opengles3 --enable-opengl_core"
Lakka-LibreELEC/package.mk at master · libretro/Lakka-LibreELEC · GitHub
Here we can see
elif [ "$BOARD" == "RPi4" ]; then RETROARCH_GL="--disable-videocore --disable-opengl1 --enable-kms --disable-x11 --enable-opengles --enable-opengles3 --enable-opengl_core" |
Near the same because --disable-x11 is already done when we use OPENGLES
I have added (finally) emulationstation as additional frontend.
I use a RPI4 with 2 GB for the testing and i can't play 2 hours on a game, so i can't see the memory bug.
Thanks a lot for your testing, i have downgraded retroarch to "lakka" revision, i hope it will be more stable.
Get it https://github.com/magicseb/libreelec.tv/releases/tag/rpi4_test_beta
I have downgraded retroarch version to the lakka one.
i compiled your source for rockpi4. It boots normal and i can install addons and change settings. But after reboot i cant start the system. There are a lot of Numbers like in "Matrix" and nothing happens...
Hi
Have you any usb bluetooth dongle connected or any other thing connected to usb ?
Sometimes, i got this.
I use, for my testing, a nano pi neo4 with a rockpro64 compiled image.
when you launch a video that use smaller resolution than your display can support, kodi use a filter to adjust image to the screen
but bilinear filtering cause strange bars, tearing etc, other filters seems to be ok but slower.
This kodi build is specific to rpi4
Hi there,
thanks a lot for this release.
I have a general question... no matter what I'm changing in settings with bilinear filtering there are always horizontal lines in movies/streams etc. Is it because there is no final adoption with the Pi 4 (4GB) yet or is it a problem with your release? With my old Pi3 there is no such problem. RetroPie runs for me so far...
Latest release 9.80_2 use a specific build of kodi for rpi4, no more tearing image (and no bilinear filtering)
