    Hi all...
This is my setup: RPI4+LE12+HDMI AUDIO extractor/splitter with ARC support+SPDIF optical output to receiver/amplifier.

In this setup the HDMI video FROM the extractor/splitter is connected to an ancient TV with HDMI-DVI adapter and the video is transformed just fine, however... if I connect this same setup with the same cables to a true HDMI monitor/TV - that is NO HDMI-DVI adapter (I have tested this on three devices) I get an option to select HDMI sound in the Kodi system audio menu and all works as it is intended, BUT if I connect ALL OF SAME THIS to the HDMI-DVI adapter - no such option AT ALL. I've been at it for five days now and I can't figure this out - how does LE know what happens AFTER the extractor/spliiter? Why doesn't simply send HDMI sound out to the splitter/extractor so that I could then send it to my amplifier via SPDIF optical???
Any idea much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Also I get no "allow passthrough" option in the ADVANCED menu at all.

I have just installed LE12 on my RPI4 and no matter what settings I choose in System/Audio - whenever I attempt to watch/listen to streaming media (IPTV, EmbyCon or Radio m3u) the sound is just choppy with tiny lags - unbearable!! Please help!! What do I do (I have very fast internet btw). Where do I dig? If I playback via HDMI - no problem. So it seems the problem is with ALSA driver.

UPD: I figured it out. In the config.txt after the needed for ALSA line was uncommented which was wrong.

Hi all. Thank you for awesome work on LE (I have it running on multiple devices perfectly fine, mainly RPIs). I have just installed LE Generic 11.0 on NUC (first time using NUC - NUC 7i5BNH), that has Intel Wireless-AC 8265 chip and for the first time in years I can get no WiFi networks list - nothing shows there. Forum search didn't really help. Perhaps someone could guide me how to fix the issue. It is currently on LAN connection, but I would very much like to have it using WiFi. Much appreciated.

Hope this helps ))) In my country they say: -“Laziness is the force behind progress”. Whether that’s true or not is another matter, but in my case it worked. Gotta say that LE is awesome, because it allows me to keep the old TV (it’s not about money, I just love to breathe new life in to old tech) and it works great. Thanks to all the devs and people behind the project.

UPD. Turns out I am a complete idiot. Being lazy I decided to take another shot at the current setup before installing LE10 from the scratch and (tadaaam!) - found a fix. In the Netflix addon settings, after enabling VP9 etc, you can go to the inputstream settings and manually force min and max resolution to 1080 and, lo and behold - Netflix is HD now (also helps to enable monitor refresh rate sync in the Kodi's player settings for a smoother playback). Everything works. Hope this helps someone.

Yeah, thanks. One of the reason I was reluctant to upgrade to 10, was my laziness - 'cause I would have to do a fresh install and build the entire thing from scratch ^^ . On the other hand, now that there is a real reason to do so, Netflix SD is driving me nuts, I might actually go for it and build a new one))) I just hope, the things I mostly use the box will install and work with not much hassle, especially my old pre-HD, pre-HDMI tv, which was the reason for the RPI4 and LE in the first place

Ok, folks, it must be my dumbself, or whatever, but it seems that there will be HD no more for Kodi Leia and it is terminal and definite... Sad, but I guess it's a push towards finally going LE10 with Kodi 19... Anyone can prove me wrong - please do so now )))

Hi! Sorry if this has been asked, but can’t find anything definitive on the forum. Got an Rpi4 running libreelec latest stable 9 and Netflix add on (just installed). No matter what I do, I get no HW decoding and all streams are SD. Any fix for that? Much appreciate any answer.

    Hi all!

Maybe this will be of help for someone. I've ran into wifi issue, that some of have had, with R4 being unable to connect or stay connected to my home wifi, while at work it was just dandy. Input/output error, invalid arguments etc. Took me a long while, but this is what fixed it for me: set the channel to 10 in your router. Three days later, system stable, reboots without flaws, stays connected. Hope this helps.
