There were NEVER H3 addons for LE 7 at all. Current master builds include it for the first time.

Afaik there is hope, but likely not before K19/Le10.
And also there likely not a perfect result yet, the imx progress is rather slow but it is moving.

The current 9.2 Beta 1 is pretty stable and there is no real danger especially at the Generic build for "PC" hardware.

Because you are using an not official build where the repo links into nowhere
There is no H3 addons at all for 9.0 or 9.2, if you want addons you need to update the LE build to some recent version that also includes addons now.

Kodi at 9.0 is 18.3 at 9.2 is 18.4.
There is no database version difference at Kodi 18.x

There is no LE 9.2 version for Amlogic devices. We are in progress of switching to mainline kernel drivers for that devices and this isn't completly ready yet.
But if you need the same databases (mysql setup i guess) you can also use LE9.0 for WP2.

that is the master version from github, may work, may not work depending at current status of developement

I can't really help but maybe Test LibreELEC images with KODI-18 for S9xxx just works for you ?

overall this is not really fixable at the moment
1. Kodi has basically an "not that good" multiuser system that just don't work too well
2. LE build ontop of that "not that good" system adds another not that good implementation
result is a basically semi broken multiuser

try to use the dvb-latest dvb drivers (activate via driver chooser addon)

I just installed it and it worked, you have somename.heic images yes ?
I used this file to test testppic.zip (needs extraction)

Maby I do something wrong
that HDR playback works you need an "special" LE image that is not public due its very unstable nature

afaik S905X2 has broken/bugged HW, so there isn't any fix possible
