thats why we made an proper version, they not even using systemd so they are not aware of anything what the system is doing

the /storage/hyperion/bin/hyperiond.sh /storage/.config/hyperion.config.json </dev/null >/dev/null 2>&1 & part is from the official hyperion installer - that fu up the whole system -> can't work ;D
It just won't do the autoskip from the recordings view.
if you play your recordings or what do you mean ?
How do you get it to turn off the LEDs when going into suspend?
I have a Sedu Box and there it works out of the box with hyperion.
I am not really a help here
I don't want to have to change all my computer again two year after the upgrade.
This depends what you need, non of this systems could play AV1 media at higher resolutions.
AV1 is the successor of of HEVC and gets heavily pushed by those small companies like Google, Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft ... you name it and it is highly likely that they rather quick switch to AV1 because there are zero licence fees. First content should be available in ~1-2 years.
So if you buy today you have already have an counter at your hardware So better buy rather cheap what fits your needs today !
Current price to performance kings are these various S905 boxes, for Intel there is only J3455 or J4205 because only these HW has HDMI 2.0.
For the best CPU from Intel (performance/price wise) the G4560 are no HDMI 2.0 supporting mainboards available that are not extreme expensive (cheapest is 160€ - more then an complete NUC/Brix/ZBox).
from le side just install the addon and start hypercon, how to configure pls google "hyperion lightpack"
a convert of the config is not possible
Considering trsqr's OE implementation
yea great idea, he basically fakes the comskip binary with an bash script that includes all commands, pretty good idea will adjust it
Is there a new client version needed?
yes, afaik there are problems due the new Tvh version
Speed wise (more ... more speed)
RPi3 < WeTek Play < .. < WeTek Play 2 / Odroid_C2 / WeTek Hub < ........ < some Intel j3455/J4205 board
WP2/WH/Odroid and Intel can also play HEVC and 4k, not that you need it but they are overall much faster the a RPi.
I have no fix for the boblight problem (had the same problem at OE in the past) I switched to hyperion and it worked well.
If you like try hyperion which is the successor of boblight.
See here Hyperion - LibreELEC, also you can use Hyperion which is optimized for LE to configure Hypercon - LibreELEC
Will test comskip now.
if you have it working it would be nice if you could post used cmd lines and configs, could help other users too because like said I have 0,00 idea about it ;D
Sorry one last thought would LE and Tvh run on a PI ZERO ?
yes "should" work if you have not more then 1 client
not tested but could do it
you could also have a look to github.com/escalade/LibreELEC.tv
escalade is also building at arch
I made the expensive mistake of buying a NUC6CAYH
There is no competition so Intel "can do it". At least after some asking there is a little hope (no eta nor if it happens at all).
This error occurs when building gcc 6.2 with gcc 7 on the host. Try this patch:
bump gcc from 6.2.0 to 6.4.0 would fix it too
Comskip detects also stuff via change in volume etc. Tbh never used myself so just basic knowledge from Mr. Google.
I ran into this as well.
what distro are you using ?
you have to setup comskip at the comskip ini (located at your tvheadend42 userdata folder/comskip
the command line should be
/storage/.kodi/addons/service.tvheadend42/bin/comskip --ini=/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.tvheadend42/comskip/comskip.ini "%f"
this is a bit messy, but I can't just set it as default (if I set it as default every recording would use comskip by default ...)
