doesn't see the server as well
That could be due the Samba change, you may switch to Samba 2 or 3 at your "Server" or force SMB1 (there are several threads about this)
about the sound issue no idea tbh

Can someone post short sample of such movie with java menu
V For Vendetta (2005) BR has an menu that works with Kodi (at least at Windows), but 22gb
not sure how i could strip it as demo
did you tried an Tvheadend 4.3 yet ?
sounds like an issue at Tvh that is maybe already fixed
Where would be the problem if I just had the option to install the package?
There is none, but currently nobody had created an package for it, also there is no way in adding at to the image, the size increase is ridiculous for that minor function. We can only do it via an addon. java is sadly horrible bloated.
The board is too old, nvidia removed support for that board at his drivers.
Luckily there is an build with the old drivers that should work for you.

LibreELEC builds with nVidia 304.xx driver Thread with informations
where did you try to play it ? at kodi ?
if so you need an device that can actually handle HEVC, UHD for example is no problem with Tvheadend
likely a new reversion of that box (again) :_(
Java as addon was already done
is the source still around (google doesn't find anything)
Java alone ist around ~70mb, you can imagine that no one want to support this crap at the image. As addon it is likely doable, actually nobody tried this yet
At a other place we are also fighting with that DS3103B were "we" are still unsure if this is supported at Linux or not. Not sure how that ends
Or do you just need a general photo of the board?
just an photo, but it is necessary that we can read the numbers at the chip (old 4600)
Is this a good one?
yes the correct one, yes there are no known problem, just install the addon for it and you have a working setup (the Sundteks have, like at windows, an extra driver that works everywhere regardless of kernel)
tbs5520se
better not, first they have no real link support (we support it just due 3rd party drivers) and afaik there are some problems that could arise - nothing compared to the rock stable Sundtek
I guess LE9 Alpha is in this thread ?
correctly, LE8.2.4 should be out later this month
anything I need to know regarding tests
no it should just work you can also try the different dvb drivers we have at LE9 included
do you think I could find a solution?
The problem is that vendors changing the hw silently, you have still the same housing but different hw inside. This is no problem at Windows but due Linux driver model its more difficult. That TT 4600 changes HW and keeps the same ids is even more "stupid". If you find a way you can always open the box and send a photo so we can have a look what is actually inside (if you can send it back to seller, don't do this)
The DVBSky S960 should work, the TerraTec Cinergy S2 USB Box, Rev. 4 should works too (at least with current LE9 Alpha or unreleased LE8.2.4).
Other things you can have a look, Digibit R1 - an cheap Sat>Ip Server that has 4 Tuners (with 3rd party firmware it can run OScam at box and supports Sat>IP over TCP what makes it proper working at not optimal networks) or you can go and grab some Sundtek stick, they are not cheap but perfectly working.
yea still not at an "stable" ground, hopefully soon - I plan to have something to release if LE9 hits first builds (likely not at the same day but not much later)
I`m looking for a NAS with one or two Slots
There is always the option to build an OpenMediaVaul, Unraid or FreeNAS self build NAS that would be much more powerful and basically the same price but if you search for an ready to use solution with great software and good support you are pretty welcome at Synology.
Synology DiskStation DS218J
>=LE8.2 etc works with it, Synology support the configuration of the Samba server.
Any further help?
just an hint, pls use the Code or Inline Code button if you insert such pastes, makes it easier for us ( I fixed it in the meanwhile)
the DVBSKY S960 works fine with LE 8.2.3 at least is that what the ppl say
no, no I said I tested the TerraTec Cinergy S2 USB Box, Rev. 4 , which also doesn't work !
the box is working with LE 8.2.4, patch is already at our Git
they are now build in, there is the same driver selector like at my builds
hmm that only says that kodi disconnect from it, so Tvh is working it looks like it should
what device have you connected ? the dmesg indicates some problem
As I don't know how to copy the file in putty over to my local machine.
the userdata folder is accessible over the network share
