since 8.2
could you specify your last working version and the first not working one ?
It is likely that we dropped an patch that made it work for you.

we are currently fixing our addons, a solution for this should be out as soon we release the first alpha
we plan to do it real soon, but first we need to fix our addon creation script
a "bug" in EPG wich used too many RAM and the server could not show channels AND collect EPG
I am not aware of anything like that, maybe some "old" bug ?!
I guess some kodi log would be helpful (when the freeze happens) also an service.log from the tvheadend folder might shed some light to the problem.
7231813 is the last commit that works for me. d2c4924 broke it.
we are aware, fix is at testing
I don't think I'm allowed to post a link here.
no problem, we are just enforcing CE help threads to the CE forum - no problem to link to something
I don't suppose there is a way to back up and re-import the configuration so I don't have to edit all the channels again?
go to your network share of your LE box, there to the userdata/addon_data/serive.tvheadend42 there just copy everything to some folder (deactivate tvh before you do it), if you wan't to keep your channels just kill everything besides these 2 folders
just remember, your browser is ONLY able to play H264 and VP8/9 also no AC3 audio etc !
If your channel has mpeg2 etc then you need to transcode. Generally better to use some dedicated client (for W10 there are some at the Appstore) etc ...
Asking dump questions (never used an LCD with kodi) - it looks like some ppl use the display without the addon (displaying not kodi things), would it harm this ppl if we add an depend to that kodi addon ?
Do you setup you network at the LE Settings addon?
Could you access the box over?
btw I checked the repo and it should work, maybe force update of the repo ?
tbh I am quite surprised that there is no proper tool that don't require a ton of dependencies
The zip from tbs website.
Urgs that are the horrible horrible horrible old binary drivers (~2.6.30 base) that don't work anymore with recent kernels.
I guess best way to get this fixed open ticket here GitHub - tbsdtv/linux_media: TBS linux open source drivers
maybe they have a good solution
just curious do you use the LE addon for it ?
If so have a look here sapphire: update add-on to 6.9 by CvH · Pull Request #2684 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub (I can build a testversion iof you like)
(I have zero knowledge about that and no hw to test it)
4) Borgbackup - uses python pip, even perl looks interesting now
where can i find this log?
16.04.3-i386 (32 bit)
afaik you NEED an 64bit system to build it, 32bit is likely to throw errors
10 year old HW, its basically like an 10 year old smartphone
didn't found any alternative that isn't build for servers etc so basically given up If someone has an good idea for proper alternative in the future just post.
