gabe TV out is now supported in nightly images on H3 and H5. You have to add FDTOVERLAYS /overlays/sun8i-h3-tve.dtbo for H3 or FDTOVERLAYS /overlays/sun50i-h5-tve.dtbo for H5 in extlinux/extlinux.conf file, right before APPEND line.

Good, I don't have it.

LVina I checked nightly builds and they don't include U-Boot binary unfortunately. I'll check how to change that.
ldecarli No. Headers are not pin compatible and I2S on PC2 is not actually exported. You would need to unsolder one LED and use it for I2S DOUT signal and change DT file to remove LED definition and add new I2S node. So it can be done but nothing I would recommend nor I would help with that procedure.
gabe I didn't add TV out support yet.
Lewis It remains to be seen how much boards will be released as stable. I certainly don't have all of them, so it would be nice if people would report status once beta1 is released. Certainly H2+ and probably R40 boards won't be.

There are also known Kodi issues regarding passthrough: Garbled sound with DD+/EAC3 passthrough and official Dolby DD+ 7.1 sample · Issue #19182 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub

Why are you afraid to experiment? Learning by doing mistakes is the best way

Anyway, you need u-boot binary - if it doesn't exist, you can't make installation, that's why I put that check there. If fresh image doesn't help, then it's possible that build server makes images differently than me.

At one point you probably updated your installation with some test or universal update, right? Anyway, download fresh image, burn it on SD card and run install2emmc.

Well, it works for me. I'm not sure I will be able to fix anything.

Any ideas, how to resolve it?
No. It would take some time to debug it, but as you noticed, it's not priority for me.
After turning on the TV from stand-by mode HDMI-CEC does not work
i am using orange pi pc (H3) and the latest build LibreELEC-H3.arm-9.80-nightly-20210207-91cf0cd-orangepi-pc.img.gz
On old version that used LibreELEC-H3.arm-9.80-devel-20200426021229-38764c8-orangepi-pc.img everything was OKThis is huge range, a lot changed in between. Can you narrow it down to specific PR with bisecting? It's annoying to build so many images but I don't know better way to pinpoint the reason.

DTS, Dolby, Dolby+, DTS-HD MA, Atmos works only on 1080p 60HZ with micro cuts
In my case
For Orange pi plus one H6 , 4K 30Hz doesnt work! Canot sound on this resolution
This sounds like you're using old image. Can you check and report which version of the image you're using? What do you mean "doesn't work!"? No image at all or only no sound? I fixed plenty of H6 display related issues recently and all my monitors and TV work ok. There might be case where 4k@60 may not work perfectly, but 4k@30 work on both 4k capable devices I have.
HDR content seems warm / yellow colorized on TV . It's not the TV with the PC I see the colors well. IS possible to fix it?
HDR is fine, 10-bit output is not yet implemented. BTW, this is no passthrough related, so off topic.

No. Maybe. There is power button too.

Those fixes were just merged in LE master so they should be in today's nightly images. tar are just updates - you put them in /storage/.update and reboot. You can actually do same thing with .img.gz files...
-
levitsky86 just install it All Repositories -> VideoPlayer InputStream -> InputStream FFmpeg Direct
-
So, if you disable wait on network in LE settings, you get normal boot speed... Not sure why that wait fails...

When that alsa config issue is solved, I'll open PR. I consider those cutoffs minor issue too.

Yeah, I think 60 Hz refresh rate works good for some reason and other don't (30 Hz seems to work too, but I didn't do thorough test). I have no idea why that is. It could be Kodi, kernel or something else. Sorry, but this will have to do for a while.

Can you try with 1080p 60 Hz mode? Note that with this image multi channel PCM reportedly doesn't work, it's no ideal either way... I watched yesterday about 15 min in 4k @ 60 and 15 min in 4k @ 30 and I didn't hear any cutoffs, but I did with older image.
