On such old hardware, it's better to install a popular OS, like Ubuntu or (not so popular) Android-x86. Then install Kodi for that OS.

The LE 11 images in https://chewitt.libreelec.tv/testing/ are updated with some experimental fixes for seeking in ffmpeg. H264 media seems to work quite well now. HEVC generally seems to work but still fails occasionally for me. Enjoy

If you use a HiFiBerry clone, then it doesn't work for obvious reasons.

PS: Try dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac (without the "plus", reboot necessary).

Please check the available audio output devices. Maybe you just have to select the device again.

Could be a USB controller issue, where LE probably uses other drivers than Ubuntu.
- if you have USB controller settings on your BIOS, try different settings
- try a different USB port
- if the above fails, use a USB hub to connect the IR receiver
There is no motivation among LE dev's to fix this, because your motherboard is outdated.
