Hi,
i'm using the 8.2.1 version of Libreelec and the latest version of the librespot addon on an Intel NUC. After sleep wakeup, or restart of the NUC the spotify connect client doesn't show up in Spotify clients. if i would like to disable the addon in the addon manager the whole interface freezes, i have to restart the nuc from ssh. The i can enable it , and it is working fine until i sleep-week, sthutdown-wakeup the LE.
I've attached the librespot addon's log.

Hi,
i'm using the 8.0.2 version of LE on my Intel NUC for media playback. The source for movies and TV series is a Synology NAS on a different location which is accessible via openVPN. I configured my database a long time ago, before i had to move to different from my NAS, i used the hostname of my NAS to setup the smb access for movies and tv series and it worked fine on local network, but not anymore through vpn.
I thought it would be a simple solution to add the host name and ip address of my NAS to the hosts file but unfortunately Kodi isn't access the SMB share which is added with hostname. If i logon to libreelec and i try to ping the 'NAS' on it's host name it is working fine.
Could you please tell me what should i do, to solve the problem?
LibreELEC-NUC:~ # ping nas

Hi,
i would like to setup the Spotify webconnect addon, but i've faced with some "problems", i hope someone can help me. I've had reqested App key from spotify, now i have the following thingy, is this what i need to use the addon?
i would have liked to add the spotify_appkey.key to my addons folder, but i don't know what "format" should i use? Should i just copy the client id and client secret into a text file, name it to spotify_appkey.key and copy it to /storage/.kodi/addons/service.spotify-connect-web folder?

Go to Kodi's file manager and add /storage/.kodi/addons/service.vpn.manager/UserDefined as a source.
Thanks, it worked like a charm.

Hi zomboided2,
i would like to setup a "UserDefined VPN" in the vpn manager app for Kodi but unfortunatelly i'm facing with a problem during the setup process. I'm using the latest 8.0.1 version of LE on a RPI3.
I had copied the ovpn and ca.crt files to the /storage/.kodi/addons/service.vpn.manager/UserDefined directory than i started the User defined import wizard. Unfortunately i only saw the following source option when i have to pickup a folder or open the files which are needed for the vpn setup. Could you please tell me how can provide the files which are needed to setup the VPN connection.Regards, Daniel

Hey,
i have a different problem, but it is samba related too.
I would like to mount a samba share permanently, but i couldn't make it happen automatically at system startup.I made a config file in "/storage/.config/system.d/", with the following content:
file name: cifs-nas.mount[Unit]
Description=cifs mount script
Requires=network-online.service
After=network-online.service
Before=kodi.service[Mount]
What=//192.168.1.5/video/TV_Recordings
Where=/storage/recordings/nas
Options=username=xxx,password=xxx,rw
Type=cifs[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.targetThan i set to it with the following command:
systemctl enable cifs-nas.mountBut unfortunately the pi doesn't mount it at startup. It works with the manula mount:
mount -t cifs -o username=xxx,password=xxx //192.168.1.5/video/TV_Recordings /storage/recordings/nasCould you please help me out, what can be the problem?

You need to install 2 things for a live TV setup in Kodi: A program called "backend" or "server" that will "see" the hardware, operate manage the hardware ( ie setup all needed hardware settings, scan for channels, tune in to a channel, ...)
and a program called the "frontend", best known as PVR client, a Kodi addon.
IMHO best by far is the TVHeadend.
No worries, BOTH programs needed come with Libreelec, and its just a click to install them.
First, the "backend", its a script, fo to addons, install from repository, browse in Libreelec repository, SERVICES, you ll find it there. Click, select, install. Easy! Runs in the backround as a service
Then, you have to do some work, before installing the PVR Client in Kodi and enable TV in Kodi, you have to setup the backend. As explained above, you can setup the tuner and scan for channels, setup channel names, numbers if you like, and more... There are some video tutorials around about this, i have found very detailed and easy to follow this one: How to configure tvheadend server - YouTube
After finishing with backend server setup, you can go ahaid and install the TVHeadend PVR addon in Kodi ( also found in Libreelec repository with all the rest PVR plugins)
No need to configure the PVR addon, all default settings should work OK.
Last, enable TV in Kodi, done.
Sounds complicated, its not. Maybe first time when you dont have any experience with the backend server part, if you follow the video instructions step by step you should be OKThanks, it is working.

Have you tried using it yet?You can use VDR or TVheadend as the backend which are available as add-ons in our LibreELEC add-ons repo
Yes. Should it work like a plug and play device, or do i have to install some kind of driver?
I have installed both backend plugin, i enabled them, but the chanel search/edit menus aren't pop up in the Settings/TV section if i try to open them. An error message pops up when i hit the epg button that PVR manager hasn't started yet. How can i start it?
You can find my log on the following link, it may shows some info get further.

Hi Folks,
I have a HD-901T2 DVB-C tuner and i'm wondering how can i use it with my RPI OE 7.0.2. Do you have any experience with this usb tuner? As far as i know the 4.4 Linux kernel has some kind of support for this little gadget.
