In your BIOS, disable "HD-Audio DSP" as it's not required (won't be used by LibreELEC) and is in fact the reason why the audio is misconfigured in the kernel (which then has to be fixed by blacklisting the unwanted DSP driver that the BIOS option has enabled).

Thats simply amazing! My system now boots in no time! Just about 15 seconds.
Even entering the system > settings menue is fast as before!
Next, i will get Emby and TVH Addons back. If it plays media i will freak out! 
All these are working so far.
I keep on trying and hope to catch the right one. Getting tiered, but i want to find that build now.

Sorry i cant (for today) i am just a user, not a linux expert.
I am able to choose the entrys from the GUI and try them. I have no idea what tar files are and what to use them for.
Anyway, i made some progress:

All these are working fine, quick boot, no Xorg errors.
Sadly i cant post Logs because there is an error when choosing that option.
I am sorry, there is a bug in the update channel > availible versions inside LibreELEC.
There are two entrys in the list which are both named #0801. One is the very first entry, one is pretty new.
No matter which one i choose, it always downloads this one: "LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-Milhouse-20180801210307-#0801-gd455e47.tar".
Now i try Build #0811 from 2017, this should be the last oldes one availible because the 2018 build are at #0810.
Sorry for the confusion.
Its not visible in the LibreELEC GUI which exact build i am choosing. I just went down the list to the very first entry which i thought was the first #0801 build. The file name i postet was manually chosen from your website, so forget it.
To clarify: i did not try many builds and identified a specific one that causes the issue, i just wanted to start from the very first.
Now i simply try the other one which is named #0801 - lets see.

As i said in my initial post it is pretty old. Beside that is always was a nice option to play movies in the garden or at any place in my house.
It is a Intel Core2 Duo T7100 CPU on 965 GM Express Chipset which featues a GMA x3100 Graphics Card.

I realised longer boot times since i used Milhouse Builds for my LE device. Its a pretty old Core2 Notebook which is doing a good job for media streaming as a mobile LE device in my house.
As it is also my test device i installed the newest LE alpha and switched back to 8.2.5.
LE alpha takes long boot times and shows Xorg error, 8.2.5 boots faster ans shows no visible error.

i own the following device and ist running like a charm.
The Pi can be switched on and off via Remote Control or button press and Shows a nice red or green LED.
It was easy to install, just a few more holes in a Standard case.

Hi - me again ( given all the help you have been giving me, I will indeed buy you a beer once I have everything up and running).
I plugged in the R1 and immediately noticed that there was a problem - it kept trying to connect to my network and failing. After, a long time, it finally managed to and seemed fine. I updated the firmware, as you suggested, and turned the device off and on again.
Unfortunately, the same thing happened - the device only seems to connect if you leave it on for a few hours - during that time, the network light keeps flashing and the machine seems to reset itself numerous times.
Does seem that there is a hardware issue with it and I am going to have to return it.

I got a Digibit R1 too.
After changing its position in my home it did no more connect to the network, the LAN inidicator LED kept flashing in a long period (bliiiiink - bliiiiiink). I did not know why, changed cable, ports, switched on and off, rebooted etc. Once it got connection again. The same thing happend again a few hours later.
Long story short: I called the support, they knew this behaviour from few other users. I did a full reset, flashed the newest firmware again and tadaaaaa, no more problems, its about 4 weeks ago. Runs like the first day, stable, fast.

just wanna report this:
Using a Raspi V3.
First i backed up all my settings.
Then i updated to 7.03 with the great new option to choose the update channel.
Next, i choosed to update to 7.90.010 to get all the great new stuff.
Worked well and without problems, updated the basics, then migrated the database, then the splash screen came to "migrating add-ons" - all in just a few minutes.
There was the first issue, it did hang there for about an hour.
I did choose to restart the device, since i had a backup.
After the restart all looks fine, everything seems to work.
Is this worth further investigation?
Will logs help, if yes, how can i provide them?

i am happy to see LE alive, i was using Media Portal for years before - then switched to Kodi, OpenELEX, Plex, TV-Headend.
So far i am very happy with OpenELEC on 2 of my machines.
What i am missing is a CLIENT part for my Plex Server to access the Movies etc.
Can anyone help me and advice me the best solution to access PMS?
