Is it universal for such case? I have the same problem with my M8s II (s905x).
M8S II doesn't have the analog audio part which exists in MINIX...

Because the developer doesn't have HDR hardware. But HDR works without support.

I've just installed 1.0.8, to try youtube and inputstream, but I cannot get more then 720p resolution.
If I turn on "Use MPEG-DASH" in YT settings then I can choose "DASH (mpd; / @0)" option in the Video Quality window but if I choose that, I get only 256x144 pixel stream (looks very bad on the big screen).
I tried all the option in the inputstream settings but nothing help.
What else I should setup or change?

Probably you have to edit your remote.conf (and put it to /storage/.config). See the remote.conf from scratch topic for more info.

I tried on H96 Pro 3/16 with gxm_q200_3g.dtb
I've updated from 8.2 and have to decrease the gui resolution from 4k to FHD.
There is no gui during 4k playing or sometimes there is two progression circle (like top and bottom 3D) frozen on the screen but the video plays fine underneath.
The video plays somehow smoother than in Krypton.
I think this will much better than any Krypton build.

You put remote.conf in wrong folder. Put it in /storage/.config or simple in SD card root.
Configfiles is the smb share name of the .config folder, isn't it?

Speaking of boxes/chipsets to avoid... I have 11 different Amlogic boxes in s8/s9 series and I try to purchase fairly popular models.
The first somewhat popular model I've purchased with odd hardware is MECOOL's s905x version.
They lable this the "HM8", it's a standard 1g/8g eMMC but it uses a straonge "Sci" WiFi Chip (Chinese brand: sci-inc.com.cn )
It also won't mount any partitions local to the device with the 3.0.2 TWRP that works on other s905x boxes.
Here's a phone and one close-up of the WiFi (not legible, but best I could get with my phone).
Anyone else have any experience with this / any special dtb or something as a workaround?
You can buy a supported wifi module (for example this), remove the original and solder the new one.

He succesfully changed the wifi modules in at least two box (Tannix and Mecool).

Hard to recommend anything, because manufacturers change the boxes and sell them on the same name.
My M8S II is perfect but I heard newer versions of it with unsupported Wifi chip-

I'd recommend AX88179 and RTL8153 both work fine on my box.

If it's that easy why would someone generate a remote.comf from scratch?
Because some remote.conf is not working with LE (some contains not compatible keywords some contains more than one remote's config)
(FYI: LE isntaller also copies the remote.conf from your android to the sd card/pendrive's root folder, so normally you don't have to find it.)

Can anyone share if they have issues when playing a 4K mkv with TrueHD/Atmos soundtrack ? My AVR is TRueHD compliant but if I enable it, the movie stutters. If I disable the TrueHD passthrough the movie plays just fine.
After hours of testing, I thought maybe the 905X box isn't powerfull enough for Atmos.
Any thoughts on that ?
I watch 4k movies with TrueHD audio in mkvs and even full UHD BDs but no problem at all.
I'm using a USB3-Gigabit LAN adapter to watch it from a NAS.No heating, no stutters.
