Been away for a while, can someone explain why kszaq has stopped supporting these builds, is there another build we should install etc?

no progress on this, what can i do to help find a fix?
Its a shame that this is so hard to troubleshoot, my leds so far are collecting dust.

Is it correct that 8.2.1.1 does not require a dtb upgrade if coming from the previous oct 28 8.2.0.1 build?
Also is LE going to auto update? I like the fact it can but do not want it to upgrade automatically.

Did anyone manage to get Hyperion working on the MXQ Pro 4k (S905x)?
I have moved from a Rpi 3 to this box and really miss my Lightberry, thought this would be an easy switch as both can run Libreelec but I have not managed to get it to work on this build.
Anyone wants to share their config with me for this build?
Make sure to use the AML grabber with your config. Even then hyperion causes the video to lag and slow down which has yet to be solved in any build.
It works great at the beginning but sad to see the bug come up randomly during playback.

Well, for the first time ever I'm bricked. X96 2G box update as usual to 8.1.1 from 8.1.0. Black screen, no hdmi output signal, no network, etc. Toothpick method not working either. Sigh.
Should still be able to boot from SD/USB, mine had no hdmi output or boot logo etc. Plugged in a USB and waited about a minute and then proceeded to use the SSH commands

Care to upload you config file?

Yes
EDIT:
Tested with latest raybunyu's krypton 15.3 on my odroid C2 and no issues with hyperion after i edited my advanced settings.
What edits did you make to the advanced settings?

No luck with 8.1.1, I recall reading in another thread that this is related to the kernel governer, is raybunyu using the same governer?

Used the correct dtb file and it failed to boot after update, booted from usb and used the SSH commands with the same dtb then it booted fine from internal.
Previous versions was 8.0.2e.

Wondering if this is resolved in LE8.2?
-
Kszaq been running 8.0.2e since release and tried everything but the video still slows down. I read it was related to having both the internal grabber and AML grabber, removing the internal grabber had no effect.

Ever since moving to LE8 ive had network problems with my local media, using nfs and seems to be related to the network driver.
WeTek_Play_2: Add patch to disable EEE · Raybuntu/LibreELEC.tv@a83dc44 · GitHub
WT Play 2: NAND and SD - alpha 10: network disconnecting during playback (Solved)
kszaq has this been added to your builds, since it was merged to LE master?
-
Yup same issue, using Hyperion from LE repo.
i think it may have to do with the cache size in advancedsettings.xml, particularly readfactor.
I originally had readfactor set to 5 and buffermode set to 0.
now its the below.
<cache>
<buffermode>0</buffermode>
<memorysize>139460608</memorysize>
<readfactor>2</readfactor>
</cache>
its taking much longer for the slowdown to occur, before it was 40 minutes now its 1:10.
EDIT: In the kodi logs i see NOTICE: CVideoPlayerAudio::Process - stream stalled, trying again with buffermode set to 1.

Since 8.0.1l includes 17.2 RC1 does this mean it patches the subtitle vulnerability?

Was trying to understand the relationship between the two more. Why is it there is a need for community builds?
Would the combined effort on the official build not make more sense.
I am using the official build right now but see more activity going on in the community build.
The community builds are for generic s905 Android boxes, stick to offical builds if you have the C2. Any sufficient changes with the community build will be merged with the main branch and vice versa.
The community builds are also test builds and usually bleeding edge so may not be best bet for the C2, that being said the builds are solid and many use it as a daily driver.

I followed the directions but when it askes me for password I cannot type anything in the screen I am trying to use putty to connect.
it doesnt show the password on the screen, just enter libreelec and press enter.

id like it installed on the box I already have it installed on a usb stick but can only run with usb
if you read the first post it clearly explains on how to flash internally. You just have to shh into the box when you have LE booting from usb/sd and then type in installtointernal.
