Basically spend around a week messing with them, trying to get the firmwares from the sellers etc. and I think if people dont think it can be done I'll put them on Ebay / give to friends and then get a recognised brand!
installtonand script creates a backup copy of rocevery.img and sometimes - because it's not always possible - of a device tree. -
Nathan909 I have looked at firmware image for your box and it looks like there's a WiFi chip that has no driver available (probably Aigale AW-CM273SM). You will need to wait for Amlogic/Beelink to share the driver so that I can include it in my builds.

Try this workaround to fake display capabilities: disp_cap_hack

Here is the log file from a fresh install first boot.
ALSO, I am using Pulsar's build
Thanks!
-NathanIs this without dtb.img on SD card? If not, please delete it and collect the log again. Thanks.

Hi Kszaq i have the same problem with mini mx, does this fix only work with that custom version you have provided or also with 007 version? Thanks:)You can try adding advancedsettings.xml values provided by envagyok also in .007 build.

kszaq - did you incorporate this into your build to accommodate S905X?
(notwithstanding perhaps there is more to be done with respect those devices?)Pulsar's patch is not about including but removing important functionality of framebuffer console. This is a workaround and not a solution and I cannot accept it to my builds. That said until I get my S905X box (which should be a few weeks from now) I will be building a second version of kernel for S905X boxes with the workaround included.

I have a question about TV/broadcasting:Since this build (007) the playback of TV streaming
per SimpleTV is not smooth anymore or in other
words: Every 20 - 30 seconds there is a stuttering
or loss in sound and picture.Playing the files from my NAS as usually, is working
though without a problem. It is just the TV thing. Please read this topic and reply there if solution provided fixes your issue: LibreELEC

kszaq: from your latest development build, Audio stuttering both on SD and HD content is evident. It makes the video totally unwatchable.
It is affecting all the video content no matter which source. Any idea what you might have changed in the latest dev build ?awaiting fix for this. Thanks in advance.
By last development build do you mean: 2016-09-13-devel ?
Please use 7.0.2.007 for now, as development builds contain untested changes. When you experience audio stuttering, please go to Audio settings, and choose "Fixed" configutation for sampling frequency.

I tried the stock dtb.img and also deleting the dtb.img from SD. Both booted, but WiFi didn't work. What would be the correct device tree for the MiniMX III II
A correct way for 7.0.2.007 and S905X is to boot without device tree. If your WiFi doesn't work, connect via Ethernet and post logs (very important: collect them right after a fresh boot!). Maybe the WiFi chip is not supported yet. In most cases it's quite easy to add a new chip. -
Its ok guys....worked it out....all sorted now and working great. Just one simple request....please make it easier to load to nand....please.
There are 2 ways to load to NAND and I don't think I can make it any easier: it would be possible only if I built a dedicated version for every single box on the market. Because these builds are "generic", it takes some effort to install them, unfortunately. -

You haven't mentioned audio stuttering, only a strange noise from time to time... but about stuttering, I am experiencing something similar on my dev build right now: with fresh install everything is OK, with my everyday data audio stutters. I will let you know when I have a fix for this.
kszaq well Im confused, works like a charm now, what did you change (or is this a placebo effect on my part from an bad flash)? Thanks
I recompiled the tree with fixes from gxbb_p200_1G_100M_RealtekWiFi. I forgot to add them to MXQ Pro. -
TheMc Please re-download the device tree, re-install and test again. And let me know.

media_build included in my builds seems to support these tuners. You should note that DVB drivers for external tuners are experimental and I don't know how to fix anything if it doesn't work.
-
ippon Have you tried 7.0.2.007?
-
hdmi_tx_14 is not used for S905(X): linux.aarch64.conf#L821
-
This addon is not compatible with arm64. It's on my todo list to make it.
-
I have no idea what this request is about, but according to this site: [Request] Adding multistream support - Tvheadend you need DVB hardware that supports is. And DVB support in my builds is only experimental.

Even better Next time you buy a Box NEXTEON means DONT BUY.I think you mean NEXBOX. Nexteon are actually quite supportive when it comes to providing sources for their firmware.
@kszaq
Stupid suggestion. If true power on/off is not possible, may be you can think about just shutting down kodi and starting it up again with rcu power button?I do not intend to provide a workaround for only w few boxes with broken firmware. Maybe at some point a "wake_lock" workaround will be possible (see S805 thread) but not now when suspend does not work yet.

Hi kszaq!
Sorry for my stupid question but have you any plan to fix on/off issue on s905 1g 8m boxes?
I have nexbox a95x (s905 1g 8m). On .007 I can switch it off but cant switch on again with rcu button. No matter whether wifi is connected or not.You have to contact Nexbox and tell them to fix their u-boot. They ignored my requests, maybe they won't ignore you.
