You can download latest nightly here https://test.libreelec.tv/12.2/RPi/RPi2/
and put it in the update folder on your Pi and reboot.
As for the other problems more info is needed, what files?
Played from where?
-
From chewitts post above: "trying to play a 4K 10-bit HEVC file and that will fail because there is no HEVC hardware decoding support on S905X3 (SM1) devices and the CPU is too weak for software decoding."
-
Try CoreELEC 21 instead.
Or if you want to run LibreELEC get a Raspberry Pi 5, it will play almost everything but DV.
-
I dont think i have any 4k h264 to try.
Edit: Found a file with
H264
51,2 Mb/s
29,970 FPS
3840 x 2160
YUV 4:2:0 8bitPlayed without any problems.

As chewitt stated above, 4k hevc is not working with LE, but it works just fine with CoreELEC, even with bitrates at 100Mb/s and sizes up to 100GB.

I have one running CE21, it plays hevc 4k HDR with no problems at all, and it can do HDR to SDR conversion.
-
Banana M5 plays 4k just fine with CE.
-
Why the Legacy build?
Try the Generic, you should be able to run that processor fine without a graphics card.
-
They are known to cause various HDMI problems, try without the case.
-
Maybe check in on the Youtube addon thread on Kodi forum.
-
Usually there is no autoupdate first week or two,
just download the image.gz (https://releases.libreelec.tv/LibreELEC-RPi5…4-12.2.0.img.gz) and put it in the /storage/.update folder and reboot.

I am using nightlies since several years, usually no problems at all.
-
You could always try the release with the newer kernel and drivers.
-
My problem is that WS-Discovery turns itself off from time to time, its mostly working but like every 3-4-5 boots its off, happens on Pi 4 & 5 & Generic, never happens with CE.
WS-Discovery turns itself off again using LE13 nightlies, no idea when it started this behaviour again, just noticed it on a fresh install.
Set it to On and did a couple of reboots and its off again.
-
I have 4 Pi4 and 2 Pi5 that boots and runs on SSD's connected to USB3, never had any problems.

Works here on Pixel 9a with Chrome.
And on 7a & Pixel 6.
And with Firefox on all three.
