I'm glad it works for you, but there is no signal for me even in 3d movies. 8.0.2e works well, but newer versions (8.1.1-8.1.5) dont.
What can I do?

I downgraded to 8.1.3, 8.1.2, 8.1.1 and no signal. If I downgraded to 8.0.2e I have pictures.
I upgrade 8.1.5 again, but no change. If I start the film, tv "say" no signal...

I upgrade LE 8.1.3 to 8.1.5. I tired Passengers.2016.1080p.3D.BluRay.Half-OU.x264.MKV film, but NO SIGNAL. (8.1.3 never tired 3d films.)
I read topic, and in the first post changelog 8.1.5 Kodi: fix "no signal" during 3D autoswtich. What can I do? I try older builds?

I have new problem. I bought m8s2 905x and usb3 to gigabit lan adapter. Le work with it, but buggy.
First time (after boot) the bandwitch is 300+ Mbit/s, I can copy 33-36 MB/s. After I play one video (720p, 10980p, 4k) the
bandwitch is only 60 Mbit/s. The movies are lagg.
Upper is after boot, before play anything, down is after play something.
Adapter: Delock USB 3.0 to Gigabit LAN 62121
Asix chipset
What is wrong?

johngalt I tired again. If that command put it in autostart.sh, then all video (4k, sd, 720p, 1080p too) are BT2020 and 10 bit.
Resolution: 4k:24Hz -> 4k:24Hz (or 60Hz)
Color space: BT2020 4:4:4 -> BT2020 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 10 bits -> 10 bits
Refresh rate is enable.
I think, this is good now. Or it is problem, sd, and 720p, 1080p 8 bits films show 10 bits?
Why dont put in this command in autostart.sh as default? 8 bits devices cant hande, or why?

johngalt I bought M8S II 905x box. I use test8 build. I tired hdr content. Tv show hdr, it is good. But my Denon can show hdmi signal info.
4k film (10 bit, bt2020):
Resolution: 4k:24Hz -> 4k:24Hz
Color space: YCbCr 4:4:4 -> YCbCr 4:4:4
Pixel depth: 8 bits -> 8 bits
I run this command: echo '444,10bit' > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr

Does this build include johngalt fixes and enhancements? I use currently 0.8test8 build, should I upgrade to this?

johngalt The testing6 work great. Gui, sd, hd, 4k is perfect.

johngalt I tired "testing5" build, and all are ok. GUI, sd, 720p, 1080p, and 4k films work perfect.
But "testing4" is not the same bug as before.
Old nougat kernel: no signal gui and moviesTesting4 build: GUI is ok, no signal only under movies (sd, hd, 4k)
But testing 5 is work great!
This is good or bad news for us?

I tired expmerge build. it is same as test4 build. Gui is work, but in playback black screen and lost signal. I go back test3, it work perfect.

johngalt Something's wrong. Test3 works perfectly for me. I did not try the expmerge build. I install the test4 now. The gui (4k) is ok, but no movie will start. I tried sd, 720p, 1080p, 4p movies, but always black screen (no signal). The box is live because I stop playback the gui come back. But every time I try, it's always a black screen, no signal when playing.
I try the expmerge build now.

VoYaGeRTM I had a similar problem with you. I tried the test1 and the test3 builds, and I use test3 now, but the 4k gui and the 4k movies working good. No black screen and no "no sognal" message.

kszaq Johngalt found the cause of the "balck screen - no signal" and he fix it in the nougat kernel. Maybe do you talked to him and embed this fix to the your next builds?
