If nothing happen then you didn't copied files to update folder correctly. And update process didn't even start if you didn't saw anything on screen.
Yes, Kodi Krypton supports touchscreens. But it doesn't have any calibration addon (at least I don't know for it). Insteady you need to edit some settings in advancedsettings.xml.
My tslib approach is pre-Krypton and it doesn't involve Kodi.

sakos, calibration addon itself doesn't do anything. It works only if my tslib touschreen stuff is included. And it is not in official images - you need to compile image yourself or check here if someone posted image for rpi.
I tried adding this to autostart.sh to no avail.
And the problem is what exactly? Be sure to have UNIX formated file autostart.sh if editing on windows.
If both script works from console then maybe your file autostart.sh is in DOS format and not UNIX? Use text editor like Metapad for editing.
And to test the autostart just type
sh /storage/.config/autostart.sh
It should work just as when you type both commands separetely.
Posting the content od the both scripts would help.
Does script A.py even ends to start B.py? Why not having only one script?
My second problem is that Kodi restarts everytime I start the Yamaha Receiver
Enable Kodi debug log, restart the cuboxi and then restart receiver. And post kodi log - maybe we could see something.

Can someone test this image? It is current master build with kernel 3.14 and not 4.4. Wondering if this issue would be gone. But CEC is currently not working - will try to fix if image would actualy work.

7.90.004 still seems to fail on TBS2910 (Matrix).
Because I didn't touch this system for some time now. Believe or not but this is not my only thing to do in spare time for free. When I will have more I will fix matrix and udoo systems.

Don't get your hope too high. For now the only real solution would be to use old 3.14 kernel. When LE 7.90.004 will be out I will build one such image. Maybe it will work, maybe it will not.

What is the purpose of this builds? Is this vanilla build or there is some your magic inside.
/media is symbolic link to /var/media
LibreELEC:~ # ls -al /media
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Aug 3 20:18 /media -> /var/mediaand this is perfectly fine. Your problems didn't happen because of this.
