I've had it for today. I will stay with 11.0.3 and try again at a later date.
Thanks
I reinstalled 11.0.4 and tried the suggestion in post #2 and it did not work.
Pressing my remote's power button still brings up the power saving menu (shown below)
- Power off system
- Custom shutdown timer
- Suspend
- Reboot
Without the file in post #2, when I pressed the power button on my remote, the power saving menu comes up with "Custom shutdown timer" selected. With the file installed, the same happens with "Power off system" selected. I don't want this menu to appear at all. It should just go directly to SUSPEND like it always did with previous LE versions.
Any other suggestions?
Why would someone change the key value for POWER?
I will attempt to restate my problem.
With 11.0.3 and all previous versions - when I pressed the remote control's power button (set to SUSPEND in LE as stated above), my Intel NUCs would enter the SUSPEND mode.
With 11.0.4 - both NUCs display the "power menu" instead of entering SUSPEND when I press my remote's power button.
Clearly, something was changed in 11.0.4 causing this issue. It can't just be me.
Settings - System - Power Saving - Shutdown Function - Suspend
I have been using SUSPEND for many years. It's the only way I can power on my 2 NUCs with a remote.
I have both NUCs set to use SUSPEND when the power button on my remote is pressed. Before I go to the trouble of creating that file, why would anyone be required to make that change? I don't see the point.
I was previously using 11.0.3 on these 2 older NUCs. After updating to 11.0.4 today, both NUCs fail to power off (suspend) properly. The shut-down menu comes up instead of going into SUSPEND. I rolled back to 11.0.3 and they are both back to normal.
I tried both 11.0.4 Generic and Generic-Legacy

I asked a similar question on the Kodi Forum about 9 months ago
You should seek support on the Kodi / YouTube support thread. Even with the latest YouTube addon version 7.0.2.2, you may still experience buffering and/or freezing. YouTube has been making changes to their software lately and I experience problems every now and then. The next day it's back to normal again.
I can't find a sample .tsv video file to download and try. This must be a very proprietary format.
Try changing the file extension to .ts and see if it plays
Convert .tsv to .mp4 using Handbrake or VLC

petediscrete - I am trying to make myself clear. I am not having problems with my ISP or the YouTube addon. Both are working perfectly. Because of a YouTube buffering issue caused by YouTube themselves (maybe just in my area), the videos were frozen, causing LE's controls to freeze. I pressed stop/ff/rew/back and other buttons, and none responded. After 5 minutes I rebooted my NUC. I am just wondering why LE would not respond to my commands when the YouTube video was frozen.
We're talking about an issue that happened a few days ago. It's kind of hard to post logs now. The buffering was caused by YouTube. My post is about the inability to exit a frozen screen while the buffering is taking place.
A few nights ago I was watching a YouTube video and it suddenly froze. I could not exit YouTube or do anything but wait. After about 5 minutes I gave up and rebooted the NUC by pressing the front panel power button. I tried another video and had the exact same issue.
I went to my Windows 10 Desktop computer and sure enough, YouTube was having very bad buffering issues, which is quite rare for me. The next day everything was back to normal.
The question is - why can't I exit YouTube when a video is buffering in Libreelec ?

IsaacSchmidt - If you install Libreelec on your computer, it will erase Windows. You can install KODI on your Windows 11 PC.
