Demetris, I ran binwalk -Me against the boot-img-second. It output a whole bunch of files, none f which are dts. Is there a particular one you want or do I need some other binwalk options?

Demetris, I also have a running Android for this box which I can SSH into as root. Is the information you need available somehow via this method?

Ok I have found instructions for pulling the dts file from the oem boot image but when I try and extract the dts file I am getting a fatal error, Blob has incorrect magic number. I tried the force option on dtc but no change. I have searched through other posts regarding this error but nothing seems to point me in the right direction.
Can you?

Thanks Demetris, can you offer any assistance on how to go about doing this?

Demetris,
I have loaded the latest 8.02b 8x2 arm m8 onto my Matricom Q2. Everything seems OK except the WiFi. I get no WiFi networks showing up. I believe the chipset is Broadcom 5G 802.11 Dual Band Via AP6330. In previous posts Based on some previous I thought this was fixed but it does not seem to be.
Can you check please? Thanks.

Install the newest android image to get the bootloader then update to openelec from zip file then use .tar from my release to update to
Actually this is what I did to start with. It was a new box with stock Android on it. I installed Codesnakes 6.0.0.2 OE through recovery, booted, then copied the LE tar to the install directory and installed. I will try it again. Is there another OE that would be better suited to this process? -
I imagine at some point the bootloader was overwritten by one of the various OpenElec or LibreElec versions I installed. Do you suggest I install the factory android and then install LibreElec from your tar via recovery?
Demetris, Do you have any thoughts on this? I hate to just go into this blind.
If I install the factory Android will the LibreElec install copy over the remote.conf file?
TIA.

Make sure you have the latest bootloader for your device
Stupid question, where do I find that and how do I install it?

Is anyone else having trouble with powering on the device? I have a number of Matricom Q (M8) & Q2 (M8S) boxes that are running this image very well. The only issue is that once you power off they will not power back on. I have to repower to get them back.
Amy ideas? Thanks.
